I sometimes try and delete most of my internet footprint, as well as throwing away drawings I made, journal entries I wrote, or exams I took. It always is a desperate attempt at disappearing from this world, to try and hide what I did in the past, to become someone new. And when I realize that despite burning every physical evidence of my existence, the memories that people keep of me will be left untouched, I cry and foolishly hope to be forgotten before falling asleep. And a few weeks later, the same scene repeats itself as I destroy what I created. I yearn to be an artist, but I fear no one will know of me for the art I create, but rather for the mistakes I made in the past ; the only thing that I cannot erase.
