Day 9 #sewconnected Tips and tricks. I’m not sure I’ve got any amazing tips or tricks, but what I have learnt over my years of sewing (or any craft for that matter) is that sometimes you need to step back, have a breather and come back to a project, not continue with it when it’s going wrong or just making do with the mistakes. Instead take a step back, give it time, come back to it with fresh eyes and undo what went wrong and fix it. You will make mistakes, but remembers that means you are challenging yourself and learning new things. Day 6 #sewconnected Must have. These are my 3 of my must haves for sewing; -an Unpicker because you need to make mistakes to learn from them. -pins, and not just any ones, I thought it didn’t matter until I had some cheap blunt pins, so I bought some nice sharp ones from @prym.consumer -last but not least a pin cushion, but not any ordinary pin cushion, a handmade ring pin cushion. I love this as I was always putting my pins down and they were never in reach when I needed them, so this way they are always with me. Sometimes I need to remember to buy solids.
