So I've joined Sewcial, which is basically an anti-Instagram for people who sew, put together by an indie designer and her husband. It's not free, but it's quite cheap. I'm hoping it will inspire me to keep motivated with my sewing (there are also a few knitters).
So far it seems to be mostly Australian women over 50 who sew their own clothes from indie patterns (which is great for me because I am also over 50 and it helps me find cool patterns), but I did come across this:
Obviously I followed her and left a comment that I like her shoelaces.
It's only a few days old, so there are still few enough people that you can literally just scroll all the posts on the whole site (app). Which is fun! The people are very earnest and very positive and very very happy to get away from Instagram.
If you want to follow me over there, I am called @adventuresinsewing, not to be confused with @adventuresinsewing here on Tumblr, who is not me.
And if you want me to post more of my sewing stuff here on Tumblr, let me know!
