I haven’t been to one since pre pandemic, so I grabbed a post flow brew at home. 🧘🏻‍♀️ 🍺 Felt a little bit nostalgic so I opened up a cult classic from back- in-the day Alpine, Kiwi Herman. A Belgian Lambic-style beer, aged in French oak red and white wine barrels with kiwis and strawberries. 🥝 🍓 I think the last time they bottled this was in 2017? I should know, I used to work for them lol. I think this bottle was from 2016/2017 (sorry terrible memory) Unfortunately, a lot of the fruit flavor was lost, which is totally valid since this is an old bottle, plus strawberries and kiwis are really delicate flavors that get lost a lot of the times. Fresh, this beer was so good. In 2022, almost 2023 not so much but I still wanted to share it with you. #Repost @tapswithtor 🛶Pint & a Paddle🛶         Japanese Lager @harlandbeer 5%   This Lager was crafted using puffed Jasmine Rice and Toasted rice flakes giving the beer a unique floral nose and familiar Japanese lager taste. Fermented using Urkel from Imperial Yeast this czech yeast lends to a very clean and crisp rice lager.          🗒 Crispy clean and a tad bit snappy. I had to kickoff my first kayak of the season with a lager. This one was certainly an adventure. All my carp chasing has caught up to me and I got broadsided by the biggest grass carp I’ve ever seen before. We were traveling perpendicular to each other and it tried to leap over the kayak and nailed me in the face. Do you know how big grass carp are😅Later on an eagle soared overhead.
