#Repost @libationslady I think the champagne of beers is a saison, (sorry millers high life) and this barrel aged imperial saison from @stompinggroundbeer is absolutely the supreme way to welcome in 2022. There’s some greenness present in an abundance of lemon pith, white and black pepper. Bright and savory herbs that include vibrant coriander and soft lemongrass. There is low levels of chocolate, delightful layers of oak and toast while staying so fresh and vibrant. The 8.3% ABV disappears in a myriad of flavors and textures that include capsicum, oak and an ever present herbaceous-ness. An absolute dream to drink. Complex and pretty simultaneously. I can see the light shining through this one 🌤🍺🤤 Ida Pruul Rye Whiskey Barrel-Aged: Russian Imperial Stout Alc: 9.4% What a day for #indiebeer day, stuck in lockdown with overcast weather but thankfully that sun is shining through & this absolute #dream of a Stout is dripping before my eyes! Big & Full frothed out head making the eyes nearly pop out of their sockets, followed by a beautiful smell of #Whiskey & rye with a smidge of grog & chocolatey coffee too all in perfect balance of each other especially with the 9.4% cruising around in the glass. I do love myself a good Barrel-Aged RIS & this is bloody #perfection to me, I could have a few of these baddies & still enjoy the drop every time!
