Head canons!
Black Maggie and Crowe are twins.
Sandera is the newest Magister. She was added to the Magisters during Nevery’s exile. Though she’s heard lots of bad things about Nevery, she’s open minded to his ideas.
Periwinkle doesn’t despise Conn, she just doesn’t like Nevery. Like Sandera, she’s a little more open minded to Conn’s ideas, she just doesn’t trust it from someone associated with NEVERY. It’s not Conn, it’s Nevery.
Sparks has been around a lot in the blackbird family, despite not being one herself, though watching Maggie and Crowe grow up, Crowe killing Maggie, raising Embre, and supporting Conn in his efforts to make change has kind of made her one.
Keeston’s father was a magister, who, like Nevery, was a bit more radical with his concepts. Later, Keeston’s father and mother die in a “mysterious accident” letting Pettivox take Keeston as his apprentice, although nothing was explicitly stated that he could take him as an apprentice.
Conn lived to a very, very old age, dying near the age of 100.
Bre, a character from A Proper Wizard, is a guttergirl adopted by rich wizards.
Since I head canoned that Black Maggie was seen as a criminal in Duchess Willa’s eyes, I also head canon that Maggie knew Kerrn. Kerrn saw Maggie and imprisoned her over 2 times at least.
Adding onto that, in first meeting Conn, Kerrn thought he felt familiar, acting very similarly to his mother with the elixir and all. She couldn’t place her finger on it. But after learning Conn’s true origins, she couldn’t help but feel even more guilty.
