Woah it’s been 3 years since I’ve been on here
You get spirits when someone dies with unfinished business so who’s to say there isn’t some sort of fabric of reality in welmet with loads of people who died via minions, arhionvar, homelessness, etc.
Well this is my AU about that
I can very clearly see a support group for the recently deceased with Willa in the center going on and on about her worst enemy (my lord and savior Nevery Flinglas) and his wretched little 12 y/o apprentice who stole her necklace and blew up his house. Pan to the other side of the group where a very thin woman with black hair and dark eyes (Mommy Magpie of course) is shooting absolutely daggers at Willa because she knows that she tried to hang her son and is currently slandering the man who saved his life.
I think Maggie (also I kinda headcannoned that their last name is Corvidae just because that’s the name of the actual blackbird family) has witnessed Conn and Neverys relationship from her ghostly realm and while she has an extreme sense of envy towards Nevery and Benet because she didn’t get to raise her son or watch him grow and they get to do that every day, she truly appreciates them and is thankful for everything they have done for Conn. So Willa sitting there tearing apart the Flinglas name absolutely won’t do.
I imagine that Maggie being dead for a lot longer than Willa, she has definitely accumulated some friends who also died in the Twlight and hate the old duchess so she’ll probably use that to her advantage. (The old “when you’re spilling the tea and the tea walks in” except Willa’s just trying to make friends but everyone else in the deceased realm is extremely aware of what she did to Magpies son and won’t stand to see Maggie upset)
Idk why I tend to fixate on Black Magpie when I think about TMT. She’s genuinely such in interesting character and her story brings me to tears.
