Sparks carries around sugar cubes and gives it Conn and the kids. She doesn’t like the added chemicals in some regular candies so she opts for straight sugar instead.

In addition, she gives said sugar cubes to gutterkids. No asking, no warning, just hands them the sugar cube. She’s the only one the gutterkids will take candy from without question.

The time it takes for you to die when your locus stone is broken depends on how strong your locus stone is. If a locus stone that is a small pebble is broken, the wizard will die instantly. But if a locus stone that is a durable jewel is broken, it will still keep its owner alive for a certain period of time until they die. This could explain why Conn didn’t die when his original stone was broken, because the Magic in his stone was powerful enough to protect him fully.

Conn genuinely wrote Lady and Pip into Nevery’s family chronicle (he was promptly yelled at)

Nevery preserved a shard of Conn’s old locus stone and has it tucked away in the locus stone chest

So…I just reread BIAR and all i have to say is…

WHY DID YALL LIKE THIS SO MUCH IM CRYING

It’s so overstimulating like I can’t even follow what’s going on. Conn almost dies, characters swing on each other, TWO people get blasted into the wall (Crowe getting a bomb thrown at him in one of the scenarios) and never show up again, and not to mention all the yelling and arguments they have with each other. And they’re all so messy omg

Also, seeing all my old drafts of characters is so cringe Jesus Christ…

Ne’er (Old Ced, Nevery’s son) - Not the worst one but Ced is definitely miles better. Same exact personality tho lol.

Jamais (Nevery’s daughter) - OMG I’m dead she doesn’t even have a name. Her name is literally the word for “never” in French. AUAUHJHJHJAHH like I remember learning the word jamais in French class and I cringed so bad bc I just remembered her as a character. But I actually really like her personality. Shes so sassy lol I think she gets it from her mom.

Edwige (Nevery’ wife) - I’m mad because Edwige is SUCH a cool name and if I ever use it again, I’ll only associate it with this fic. But I love Ed, shes the most reasonable one in BIAR

Tinder - GOD I hate old draft Tinder. Shes so rude and entitled just because she’s married to Crowe. I love the new Tinder soooooo much better. New Tinder actually feels like a person Crowe would marry and love romantically yk?

Grackle - I remember him being a lot more cringy and edgy than he actually was. Still a bit reminiscent of him today but I past him is just kinda more evil and less cunning and smart.

Lex/Alexandra (Nevery’s mother) - Her first draft is actually pretty much the same as the one DN! Shes the only one whos survived or hasn’t been changed!!! Just added onto with her grimoire Conn found (it will be important)

But yeah, it’s so interesting to see how far my writing has come. It hasn’t even been that long and my writing is just so different compared to almost 2 years ago now (WOW)

I drew Conn for my assignment in art class! Horrible quality but whatever right?
