“I wouldn’t call it art, but putting folks of all kinds on stage with you, all colors, shapes, sizes... presenting them as equals. Why another critic might have even called it ‘a celebration of humanity’.”

I am so proud of this work! I’m actually surprised how much I was able to pick back up drawing :D Here’s a little background, a long story short;

I have been struggling a lot when it comes to myself. Mentally and physically. Steven Universe, the show, have let me accept me more of who I am, and be more confident. The community itself as well has been so inspirational to me as well, and it was a group of cosplayers who inspired me for this piece. I can’t thank you guys enough to be honest. @dement09 and @rexpinn already know my gratitude, and then it was when I started to finally be more confident and open and ran into @kellykirstein and @for-the-love-of-clod through the two of them on another social platform. Then I got to meet more of their friends and BAM inspiration struck. 

I’ve always been a lurker and never followed or even thought of commenting on people’s posts, but I started opening up more and just giving people kind words for the day, I hope that it will help them, even if I don’t get a response, I understand there’s still a human being behind these pictures and everyone has plans outside of the computer screen. I get excited just to have any one of them liking a comment or post of mine. 

This is basically a thank you to you guys and anyone who has a passion in art and creativity in general. :) This piece is the biggest one I’ve done in 2 years, and its sad because I always thought that I would be drawing every day of my life when I was in school. Life happened and its been so long. I missed doing it. So thank you for sparking that passion in drawing again, and thank you for sparking my love for cosplaying again as well. I have an idea for an upcoming cosplay, but there will be a few before that until I can tackle this one :P Thanks for reading my rant XD If not, just enjoy the artwork!
