The 7 levels of Steven Universe villains!

Sophie Garnet is the adopted daughter of Garnet and technically, the first human to be raised by gems. Which pretty much makes some history. She debuted in Gem Tales as a baby after Ruby & Sapphire's wedding anniversary.

When Bluebird Azurite returned to enact her siege on Little Homeworld, Pyrope & Demantoid, two of her recruits threaten to kill her causing Garnet to save her. She would return in Steven Universe: Full Closure as a 9 year old happy to see Steven for the first time.

In Steven Universe: Evil on the Rise, however, any ounce of love Sophie would have had for Steven would be completely shattered. A hatred that wouldn't come to light until Stella Universe where she reveals her reasoning. Sophie believes Steven was responsible for the death of Garnet. And despite having Topaz to look after her, she's prepared herself for erasing Steven's legacy.

Sophie's reasoning for joining the Earth Alliance against Red Diamond is so she could gain more power for herself. She actually shatters Red Diamond and uses her essence to become a mechanical kaiju: Black Garnet. Sophie would be killed off after Green Stella, the fusion of Stella Universe & Green Diamond overwhelm her red energy with green energy.

Green would revive Sophie, but the trust she formed between the Earth Alliance was already shattered. After letting loose the emotional turmoil she carried all those years, Sophie would join Lars & The Off-Colors in order to master her immortal potential.

Sophie doesn't really show any romantic interest towards anyone, hence her asexual alignment.

Dawn Universe is the adopted daughter of Greg Universe & Pearl, and the foster sister of Steven Universe. She doesn't become a prominent character until Stella Universe, where we find out she doesn't want to be a Crystal Gem. And this is because she found out that Pearl throwing the Jungle Gym at Bella was the reason the events of Evil on the Rise took place.

Going through a similar arc like how Steven resented Pink Diamond. Dawn now resented Pearl for hurting Bella. While she nor Pearl would ever get closure, she would eventually come to realize that it did cause a stereotypical family rivalry between her and Stella. With Stella, her niece wanting to be like Steven, while Dawn tries desperately to convince her that being a Crystal Gem is a bad idea.

By the end of Stella Universe, Dawn not only accepts Pearl's mistake, but starts an intervention program helping humans who are uneasy with the human/gem world around them. Validating their feelings, while also teaching reconciliation, accountability and, in most cases, adaptability.

Stella Universe is the non-binary daughter of Steven Universe & Connie Maheswharan. She was introduced in Steven Universe: Evil on the Rise as a 1 y/o baby, but becomes the main character years later in Stella Universe. Their entire arc revolves around learning who Steven was since they were too young to remember him. They spend the majority of the film trying to live up to their dad's legacy since that's what only they believe he would have wanted. It's when Red Diamond's obsession with Steven comes into play that Stella realizes she can be their own hero. And, of course, live life on their own terms. They fail to get through to Red, but succeed in stopping Black Garnet from destroying Steven's legacy. By fusing with Green Diamond, they neutralize her rage and restore Sophie back to life.
