The fascinating thing about Eva is that, the more time passes, the more you realise she doesn't exactly represent how you'd expect a Cra to behave. As time goes on, the more she turns out to be a subversion.
Early on, when she's first introduced, she definitely behaves and carries herself like you expect a Cra to. She is smart, oftentimes aloof, somewhat proud, a master archer, and as beautiful as you'd expect the Woodland Beauty's followers to be. But then you get to know her, and the mask starts to crack, whether done so intentionally by the writers or not.
Because Eva is gorgeous and proud, yet she's totally unaware of her own beauty. At first glance she's fairly composed, but then something happens that causes her temper to flare up and she completely loses her cool, a flaw that never really goes away. She's supposed to be the smartest member of the group, yet I don't remember she ever came up with tactics to defeat the Brotherhood's enemies outside of perhaps her focus episodes back in season 2. It's usually somebody else's idea they end up following.
Hell, even Amalia, whose early characterisation was that of a sheltered princess, has shown a surprising aptitude as a strategist when she discussed war plans with her family in season 1 and led Prince Adale's army in season 2.
And then there's how she acts whenever Pinpin is concerned.
For all she's supposed to be the most level-headed one of the relationship, the moment Pinpin is in need of saving, she recklessly leaves everything behind and rushes to help him. Her rescue mission in early season 2, how she ran after him during the season 2 finale, her weird attempt at sacrificing herself to protect him and the children in season 4...
Her relationship with Tristepin, in turn, has the unexpected side effect of highlighting how, for a Cra, she's not all that duty-bound either.
Back in season 2, she was still Amalia's bodyguard, yet that didn't stop her from abandoning her post as she chased after her man. Just like she showed herself far too eager to retire altogether and start a life with Pinpin as soon as they defeated Qilby and Rushu. Maybe it's just me, but you'd expect a woman from a society that's heavily implied to be military-like in nature to hold her position in higher regard.
All in all, Evangelyne is still far more dignified than Cleophée, who's far too rambunctious for a Cra. But that doesn't change the fact that she's, ironically, not the best example of one either...

I love Dawnshard so much! Rysn's fantasy discord server for paraplegic ladies. Rushu being such a glorious ADHD nerd at all times. The wisdom under the Lopen's goofiness when he talks to Talik and Rysn about their shared experiences of being othered by the Alethi and the able-bodied, respectively. Rysn and Cord both independently having conversations with people where they talked about discovering that they wanted risk and adventure. (👀 please Mr. Sanderson, let them sail around the world together and kiss!!) Rysn crying because Vstim called her a friend. Cord being ready to trick and/or fight any god who comes for Rysn when they've only been friends for like a day. Chiri-Chiri making tiny, adorable roars to protect Rysn. When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail, and when your hammer is trade negotiation, you sit down across from a guy who's 300 cremlings in a trench coat and make a sales pitch for not killing you.

Villains Contest 2: Candidate n°5 (Qilby)
Do you think the villain worthy of the Pantheon of Villains ?
Yes 😈
No ⛔
Presentation:
Qilby is one of the main antagonists from Wakfu. He is a Eliatrope demigod and scientist. He is the son of the Godess Eliatrope and the great Dragon. He is one of the twelve children of the two previous deities. Shinonomé (a female Dragon) is his twin sister. He is also the Yugo's brother and arch-nemesis.
His Villainy's journey:
At the Primordial Age, the Eliatropes were an advanced civilization in the Krozmos. They were governed by the Council of Six (all Elitropes demigods) and Qilby was part of them. Qilby was a great genius toward his fellows. He and his dragon sister Shinonomé made progress on science and produced cures against diseases. But the scientist had a incredible curse on him: he kept his memories from his past lives after each reincarnation unlike to his siblings. And this curse made him crazy. So, the Elatriope scientist sought a soluce to end this. For fulfill his curiosity about discoveries, Qilby stole a heart from a Mechasm called Orgonax and used it to create the Eliacube. This action launched a war between the Eliatropes and the Mechasms. Because of that, Eliatropes migrated from their destroyed homeworld to another world: the World of the Twelve. In this new world, the Eliatropes rebuilt their civilization but Orgonax and the Mechasms found them. And the war resumed again. Shinonomé was killed in this war. Qilby wanted to involve the civilization on art of war but the rest of Council of Six refused. Instead, the Council sent Eliatrope children in another dimension (where they didn't age) and Qilby was imprisoned alone in a white dimension after Orgonax was destroyed (at the cost of Yugo's and Adamai's lives).
His biggest crimes:
Before his expellment from the Council of Six, Qilby reactived the Eliacube to bring the Mechasms to the World of the Twelve because he didn't supported the lies of the Council. When Yugo (the newly king of Eliatropes) and the rest of the Council found his intentions, they fought him. The mad Eliatrope lost his left arm during their battle and he was banished in the white dimension by the king of Eliatropes.
Thousands year later, Yugo and Adamai (both reincarnated but without their memories from their past lives) freed Qilby with the Eliacube (in same time they made Grougaloragran and Chibi reborn from their Dofus). So Qilby told the Eliatropes history to the new World inhabitants and manipulated the brotherhood of the Tofu by pretending that he was the King of the Eliatropes. So, he kept Adamai under his care while the Tofu group went to the Crimson Claw Archipelago to search and find the Qilby Dofus where the Zinit (an Eliatrope spaceship) was hidden. But the "wise" Eliatrope stole the Eliacube (that the Sadida Kingdom sealed) and teleported Adamai and a baby Grougan to the Zinit before the the Tofu's group's arrival. In there, he revealed to the two dragon demigods his secret laboratory and explained his intentions to activate the ship for travelling across the Krosmoz again but by absorbing the wakfu of the planet (risking a populicide). Adamai expressed his disapprovement and Qilby fused with the Eliacube and knocked out the Yugo's brother and he even imprisoned Grougan. Later, the crazy Eliatrope met Rushu (King of Shushus) in the Fab'hugruta realm and made an alliance with him in exchange of killing Phaeris, another Dragon (and one of the 12 Eliatrope demigods). The latter dragon kept his and Shinonomé's Dofus. He even let Annathar (a deadly Shushu) take possession of Adamai. In the following events, he opened portals to send all the Shushu army to invade the World of the Twelve in the moment when the Yugo and his friends came to the concerned Archipelago. Phaeris and Yugo fought against the traitorous Qilby. Yugo helped Adamai to free control of Annathar (the latter was nextly killed by Qilby). The crazy Eliatrope sent to the Embur dimension where Baltazar and all the Eliatrope children were refugied. He even tried to force the children to join him in his goals but they fought him (in support of Yugo). Even Shinonomé (in her Dofus) expressed her disappointment toward his own crazy twin brother. And Qilby was imprisoned in the white dimension again.
He came back in the side of the Eliatrope godess and Nora (Eliatrope sister from the Council of Six) to face against Toross Mordal and his army of Necros who came to absorb the wakfu for ending their wakfu hunger.
The reaction(s):
-Doflamingo: "We have major issues against our respective families."
-Loki: "Idem."
-Sôsuke Aizen: "The betrayal is in his cells."
-Joker: "What a sense of chaos."
-Voldemort: "I wonder if he can resurrect again after a Killing spell."
-Darkseid: "The Eliacube looks like an Anti-Life equation."
-Qilby: "So, do you recruit me in your Pantheon ?"
-Palpatine: "If you pass the trial of the public vote, Eliatrope. 👿"
