I thought I was immune to the dagger to the neck trope, but then I remembered I wrote this in my Kelsier x oc fic, and it's one of my favorite scenes I came up with
“You are part of the problem, Dee. You're as much a nobleman bootlicker as the soldiers posted outside of Kredik Shaw, as their mistresses, and taskmasters.”
She takes the glass daggers from the inner pocket of her coat; he doesn't even flinch at the movement, doesn't pull back when she places the handle on his palm and closes his fingers around it. She wraps her hand around his and brings his hand up towards her, most precisely her neck.
Only when it's about to touch her skin does he resist.
“If I displease you, kill me. It's not an issue for you, is it? Men, women, children, even their damn dogs.” Not able to move his arm, she nears her body towards him until the blade touches her skin. She's close enough that her breath licks his face. “I prefer death to being subjected to your moral platitudes, held below your honorable high ground.
“Kill me for my sins, oh almighty Kelsier.”
