Idk where this has come from, but I've been kicking around the idea of Lucifer & Rosie in my head. Like, not even the idea of them as a ship but just them interacting at first.

I could see Charlie trying to set them up at first as just "meeting with an overload over coffee", but Rosie would see right through that. Lucifer would be completely oblivious. Alastor would be furious but unable to do much, wishing to humor Charlie.

Rosie would play along with the "date" just to humor Charlie and aggravate Alastor, but Lucifer is a natural charmer and a sweetheart, and she does find herself enjoying his company.

Alastor assists Charlie in spying on them, playing the helpful friend but also having to suppress his rage whenever Lucifer gets too flirty with HIS best friend. Charlie just squeals in barely disguised delight when anything vaguely romantic happens.

Lucifer, for his part, is nervous hanging around with Rosie in Cannibal Town at first, but she is talkative, sweet, and has a biting wit, and he enjoys the adult company after being alone for so long.

A lot of what they talk about is Charlie and the hotel, but when Lilith is touched on Rosie backs off with grace, letting Lucifer know that he doesn't have to say anything. Rosie enjoys regaling Lucifer with tales of her various ex-husbands.

When the "date" ends, Rosie slyly reveals to Lucifer that she suspects this was a setup by Charlie to get him back into dating. Lucifer is at first surprised and embarrassed and tells Rosie he's really not ready for anything romantic but he enjoyed her company as a friend, nonetheless. She lets him know he's always welcome to visit.

Lucifer delights in returning to Cannibal Town for their "dates" for several reasons: It gets Lucifer out of the hotel and socializing again. It gives him a chance to get updates on what's going on with the Overlords. Lastly, it seems to really aggravate Alastor when Lucifer announces what he's doing.

Lilith is even more Sin of Pride and Alastor's ego and shields have no bounds! He will treat her more lady-like but OH they will constantly have basically dick measuring contests any time one of them feel 'threatened' xD

And then we have Rosie and Lilith! They have more specific 'I know better' stand offs! Even if Rosie is pleasant and approachable it doesn't mean she will back down, not when she is determined to be right in the end! And Lilith is so not used to being questioned xD

It's just more fun to have one half of poly actively engage with each other and push each other to limits, in all the ways, and then the other half of poly is decompressing and melting into relaxation xD

Alastor and Rosie have playful light banter, Lucifer and Lilith are just marshmallows glued into each other, and Rosie and Lucifer are sweet and chill and pleasant <3

i'm so excited you're asking me abt rosie & lucifer actually, bc @coppercrow's fic pin the blanket on the demon totally hooked me on their potential dynamic and i've been chewing on it ever since

so i don't actually know if rosie is hellborn as of the current canon of the show, because i know that seemed to be the consensus before s1 came out but things might've changed. assuming that she is hellborn, lucifer wouldn't immediately have the negative image in his head that he does of all sinners, even if the cannibalism thing... yuck... but she's so genuinely warm and charming in a way that wouldn't make his "fakeass ingratiating/politicking bullshit" alarms go off the way they probably did with mimzy. he'd also be more inclined to like her & be friendly with her because charlie likes her, and in fact charlie won't stop gushing about how helpful she's been, so there might be an element of gratitude too for rosie's support -- and it wouldn't tick him off like alastor's did, because alastor played up the whole dad thing on purpose to be a bitch but rosie was just honestly impressed with charlie!
