New chapter on NOK made me start thinking of From Clay! AU.
Lilith's Soul has a sample removed to be reborn as a new Soul. Lilith herself is dragged up to Heaven. Micheal is the one to deliver the fragment to a human woman who's faith is strong, and the fragment in a vessel of clay turns into a baby that looks like the woman. She names the infant after the man/Angel who called himself Asher. But unknowingly names the child after Michael's purpose. Alastor; defender of man, vengeance, retribution, avenger. (Maybe Michael was even told to donate some of his Grace? Specifically to make Alastor a perfect counter to Charlie should she ever try to lead an army against Heaven.)
Being made of clay and a fragment of Lilith's Soul, though developing his own Soul later, one could technically call him another pure human. One that is not tainted by the Apple. Kinda, sorta, Lilith's son. Kinda also an equivalent to Eve with Adam. It makes the crew question if the reason exterminations are ramping up is because there are now two 'pure' humans. But Lucifer denies this, because God would have just wiped them all out. There would have been no hiding Alastor's true parentage from God.
So either, God is waiting to see what happens naturally. Or one of the two 'candidates' isn't up to snuff. But, both aren't up to snuff, technically. Charlie is Nephilim. Sure, she's a Nephilim of God's previously favorite Angel. But there's only so far that goes. And Alastor? Doesn't identify as male. Or female. Maybe even AMAB, but it was the female reproductive system that was the functional system?
If Michael donated some of his grace, he and Lilith are essentially the parents of Alastor, so he's also technically a Nephilim! Or 1/3 Angel and 2/3s Human because he IS his mothers child biologically.
And yes, this is very much Eve from Adam type stuff - so, yes, possibly son to mate with Charlie...but also possible new husband for Lilith.
