been doing some light research for Rings of Grass + trying to fuckin', pin down what year all the books before book 4 would've taken place in if in book 4 it's 2016 and theyre almost 30, and man, it's crazy just how recent legal gay marriage in this country really is
it's hard to pin down given every state is kinda doin their own thing but yeah, if the trio are about 28/29 in 2016, then all of this shit might've begun going down in, say, 2008 (making them around 20 in book1), meaning RoG john and dave's marriage wouldnt be legal, since i decided they did that pre-book1, maybe as early as 2006, when they were 18/19 or so
