The morning is the best time to start the day right. If you are an early riser like myself, itβs a time of peace, tranquility and trying to make some good decisions π Quick morning nutrition for me looks like 2x bananas π 1 tsp sesame seeds 2 tsp sunflower seed Kernals 1 tsp moringa powder 1 tsp turmeric powder 7x Kalonji (onion seeds) I mix it all up. The sunflower π» seeds add a lovely crunch and everything else mixes into the bananas. 226 calories in all according to @fatsecret_app and it keeps me happy and satiated with lots of good nutrients entering the digestive system π₯³ I got my #moringa from @meadows_organics @karachifarmers .. the markets ended for the time being but the store is now open. The turmeric - anti-inflammatory- is a freshly ground and not store bought. A gift from a dear friend π you can get a one from @daaliearthfoods .. We even work out on public holidays !! My 8am Reformer Group @thepilatezlab #bodylab is relentless MashaAllah! Itβs a short month so very little space for make ups. We didnβt want to have to do two back to back sessions if we missed todayβs so the ladies made an extra effort and crushed it πͺπͺπͺ They inspire me on so many levels. Most of them are mums like me of youngish kids.. youngish meaning somewhere between toddler and adult π and we all get what it means to feel the aches and pains that come with years of bad posture.. lugging kiddies around on one favorite hip causing side dominance.. not taking our wellness seriously until something serious manifests and then getting that wake up call. Itβs not easy waking up to these realizations midlife.. trying to wake up muscles that have sometimes forgotten what itβs like to be worked. Post 35yrs, your muscle memory is more or less set, but itβs not impossible to reawaken and even create new. Itβs all down to our determination to finally take care of our own wellness so we have the energy and strength to take care of those we love most β€οΈ And thatβs what I believe is the essence of what gets my wonderful bunch of ladies outta bed and onto a #Reformer at 8am in the morning.. apart from the school run π The realization that if there is no βlβ, there will be no βweβ or βusβ either. Families need happy, healthy, well and strong caregivers that can multitask like a machine and still be ready with hugs π€ and cuddles at the drop of a hat.
