If this was someone's idea of an April Fool's Day prank, it's really not funny. At 11:10 am today, they declared a hold and secure drill. They then told everyone to head to either the library, the auditorium, the gym or the cafeteria. This meant that the library where I sit was inundated with noisy kids, and so I suffered and barely read all that time.
Then a bell rang and they said the drill was done. I (like any rational person) went off to my period 3 classroom for class. But it wouldn't open. So for twenty whole minutes, I was stuck sitting in the hallway, waiting for class to open. I know I wasn't the only one, because multiple kids were waiting alongside me. But finally, at 12:00, they sent out another announcement over the PA system, saying class would now begin at 12 and run till 1 pm.
Now…they never told me prior to this that anything was going on. So I wasted twenty minutes in a hallway. Now I'm hearing second hand rumours about what happened, and it's all just agitating me. I know tomorrow it's supposedly going to storm really bad where I live, so i'm seriously contemplating just not going to school tomorrow. I haven't commited to that, but the thought is really tempting.
And now you see why I hate April Fool's Day. It's a day where things like this can apparently happen. It throws me off my whole schedule and it ruins my sense of balance and stability. I hate it. Way, way too much to adequately put into words.
PS: My school says it's fine now. That message came to my dad and me online. I believe it. It still doesn't take away my headache, though. And please don't ask anything about where I go to school. I'm not going to say. I don't have that low a sense of self preservation. You've got my name, my age and my country. But you're not getting my home address or my school. I'm not gonna give that away when my dad might not actually be aware I have something like friends on here. I should make that it's own seperate post, though.
