Some *really* exciting kimchi purchases, thank you Daily Yamazaki! The kimchi marinated atsuage tofu is life-changing. So delicious and satisfying. I was so surprised by the intensity and depth of flavor. My only caution is that the liquid alone is not sufficient to season a stirfry, which is disappointing because I'm lazy, but I guess I do know how to make a sauce.
Also got kimchi rakkyo (pearl onions? Chinese scallions?), which are amazing too! The sweetness is a really nice contrast to the kimchi flavor, and I love the crisp, layered texture.
昨日のヒルズマルシェは、洋服ポストと花を買うだけのつもりだったのに、安すぎるラッキョウを見つけてしまい…😅 ラッキョウは特に大好物でもなく、出されれば食べる程度なんだけど、毎年安い泥付きを見てしまうと作りたくてたまらなくなるんですよねー。 あぁ〜実は去年漬けたのがまだたくさんあるんだけどな〜😅😅 （まぁ去年は甘酢漬けだったので、今年は塩にしてみました）
