Martyrdom of Imam Sajjadع
Imam Sajjad (as) enjoyed great popularity. The people spoke with admiration about his knowledge, his jurisprudence, and his acts of worship. The assemblies admired his patience and all his other qualities. The Imam (as) occupied the hearts and feelings of the people. Hence, blessed was he who saw him, met him, and listened to his words.
This situation frightened the Ummayads, especially as it concerns AL WALID BIN ABD AL MALIK (LA), who was the most spiteful toward the Imam (as). Hence, he killed the Imam by poisoning him.

Birth of Abdullah.
It was narrated that no one envied and was jealous of Abdul-Mutalib except a man named Uday ibn Nuwfal. He used to be the authoritative figure in Mecca before Abdul-Mutalib arrived. When Abdul-Mutalib came to Mecca and assumed power, Uday became very jealous. One day he said to Abdul-Mutalib: "Don't let this authority get to you, for you are no one but a child among the children of your tribe. You have no children and no servants, so why are you better than us? You were nothing but an orphan in Yathrib until your uncle brought you here and gave you all this authority". Abdul-Mutalib got very angry, and said: "You mock me for my lack of children?! By God, I shall make an oath to him. If he granted me 10 children, and gave me an extra son. I shall sacrifice one of them for my Lord!" At that time, he only had Harith. He married a woman named Fatima bint Amr, whose the mother of Abdullah and Abu Taleb. One day, he was sleeping and he saw a dream where a tree was growing from his back that extended all around the world, with very bright light illuminating from it. He saw Prophet Nuh (as) and Prophet Ibrahim (as) sitting under it. They told him: "We are seeking shade from this tree. May God bless those whom seek shade from it, and curse those who don't". When Abdul-Mutalib wanted that dream interpreted, he was told that a man among his descendants will have his message spread over the world, his presence will be a mercy to the people. Abdul-Mutalib was an avid hunter; one day he became thirsty and drank from a river that's water was colder than ice and sweeter than honey. He entered upon his wife Fatima and she became pregnant with Abdullah. When he was born, a very bright light radiated from his forehead until it reached the skies. When Abdul-Mutalib saw him, he became very joyful. Abdullah used to grow in a day what other children would grow in a year, and the people were very amazed at his beauty and manners. It was also mentioned that Abdullah went through similar situations as Prophet Yousef (as). When Abdullah grew up, Abdul-Mutalib remembered the vow he made, that he'd sacrifice one of his sons. (Bihar al-Anwar, volume 15, pages 76-78).

Surah Fajr; Imam Hussain ع
Imam Ja`far as-Sadiq [a] said, "Recite Surat al-Fajr in your mandatory and voluntary prayers, for it is the chapter of Husayn [a]. Desire that, may Allah have mercy on you." A man at the gathering asked, "How is this chapter specifically for Husayn?" The Imam replied, "Have you not heard His saying, 'O soul at peace! Return to your Lord, pleased and pleasing! Then enter among My servants! And enter my paradise!' (89:27-30) It is referring to al-Husayn with this, for he is the the one who is at peace, pleased and pleasing. His companions from the Family of Muhammad [s] are those pleased with Allah on the Day of Resurrection, and He is pleased with them. This chapter was revealed regarding al-Husayn b. `Ali [a] and his followers and the followers of the Family of Muhammad [s] specifically. Whoever is devoted to reading al-Fajr will be with al-Husayn [a] in his rank in Paradise. Surely, Allah is great and wise." و روى عن الحسن بن محبوب، بإسناده، عن صندل، عن داود بن فرقد قال: قال أبو عبد الله- عليه السّلام-: اقرؤوا سورة الفجر في فرائضكم و نوافلكم، فإنّها سورة الحسين- عليه السّلام- و ارغبوا فيها، رحمكم الله. فقال له أبو أسامة، و كان حاضرا المجلس: كيف صارت هذه السّورة للحسين- عليه السّلام- خاصّة؟ فقال: ألا تسمع إلى قوله: يا أَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ ارْجِعِي إِلى رَبِّكِ راضِيَةً مَرْضِيَّةً فَادْخُلِي فِي عِبادِي وَ ادْخُلِي جَنَّتِي إنّما يعني بها: الحسين بن عليّ- عليهما السّلام- فهو ذو النّفس المطمئنّة الرّاضية المرضيّة، و أصحابه من آل محمّد- صلوات الله عليهم- الرّاضون عن الله يوم القيامة، و هو راض عنهم، و هذه السّورة [نزلت] في الحسين بن عليّ- عليهما السّلام- و شيعته و شيعة آل محمّد خاصّة. من أدمن قراءة الفجر، كان مع الحسين- عليه السّلام- في درجته في الجنّة، إنّ الله عزيز حكيم. Imam al-Husayn [a] said, in a sermon,
"All praise is due to Allah, whatever Allah wills, and there is no power except by Allah, and may Allah send salutations upon his Messenger.
Death has been foisted upon the children of Adam the way a necklace adorns the neck of a girl. How great is my longing for my predecessors, not unlike the yearning of Jacob for Joseph. It has been chosen for me, a destiny which I am going to meet.
It is as though my limbs have been torn apart by wild beasts between Nawawis and Karbala, so they will fill - by killing me - their hollow pouches and famished bellies.
There is no escaping a day inscribed by the Pen. The pleasure of Allah is our pleasure – the Ahl al-Bayt. We will be patient upon His trials and He will recompense us the reward of the patient ones.
The flesh of the Messenger of Allah will not be separate from him, rather, it will be gathered for him in the holy assembly. His eyes will be delighted by them, and he will fulfill his promise to them.
Therefore, whoever has decided to invest his heart in us and has resolved his self to the meeting with Allah – then let him set out with us – for I am setting out at dawn’s break, God-willingly."
خطبة الأمام ( ع ) : وفي مثير الأحزان بعد المحاورة السابقة : ثم قام خطيبا فقال : الحمد لله وما شاء الله ، ولا قوة الا بالله ، خط الموت على ولد آدم مخط القلادة على جيد الفتاة وما أولهني إلى أسلافي اشتياق يعقوب إلى يوسف ، وخير لي مصرع انا لاقيه ، كأني بأوصالي تقطعها عسلان الفلوات بين النواويس وكربلا ، فيملان مني أكراشا جوفا وأحوية سغبا ، لا محيص عن يوم خط بالقلم ، رضا الله رضانا أهل البيت نصبر على بلائه ويوفينا أجور الصابرين ، لن تشذ عن رسول الله لحمته ، وهي مجموعة له في حظيرة القدس ، تقر بهم عينه وينجز بهم وعده ، من كان باذلا فينا مهجته ، وموطنا على لقاء الله نفسه ، فليرحل معنا فاني راحل مصبحا إن شاء الله

How Abdul Mutalib saved Mecca (Part 3).
While Abdul-Mutalib and his relatives were engaged in dua, a sandstorm approached that was caused by the march of the soldiers. Abdul-Mutalib remained in dua until the elephants stopped and wouldn't move. Al-Aswad informed the king about this, and the king sent Abraha to establish a truce with Abdul-Mutalib. Their conditions were: hand over the men responsible for the church fire or to give the same number of people lost in the fire for retribution, as well as an amount of money to rebuild the church. Abraha and al-Aswad decided to send a man named Hanthala who was known for his ruthlessness. He reassured al-Aswad that the remainder of the Meccans either accept the truce or he'd come back with all their decapitated heads. As soon as he saw Abdul-Mutalib, he became afraid. He told him of the truce, but Abdul-Mutalib said: "How strange! You want the innocent take care of the crimes of the guilty, when we are the ones who reassure people's safety and fight oppression?!
As for the Kaaba, I told your king before that it has it's own protector. If you want to march, then come. If you want to retreat, then retreat. So go back to your master, and inform him of what I said". When Hanthala heard that, he got angry and wanted to kill Abdul-Mutalib so he attacked him, but Abdul-Mutalib got a hold of him, threw him to the ground and hit him. Then he said: "By the glory of my Lord, if you weren't a messenger appointed by them, I would have killed you right there". Hanthala went back and informed the generals what happened, so they decided to attack. When they got close, all of a sudden a swarm of birds appeared from no where. They were carrying 3 rocks each, one of them was the size of a cicer, while the other two were as big as lentils. They all flew around until they were directly above the army. The soldiers became very afraid, stating that they haven't seen birds like that before. Al-Aswad tried to reassure them, and threw arrows to scare them away. Then the birds started screaming, as if they were making dua. A voice came out saying: "O' Birds, do what you have been ordered to do"
The birds then dropped their rocks on the soldiers, and the first person that was struck was Hanthala. When al-Aswad and Abraha witnessed this, they were extremely scared and tried to run away but to no avail. The rocks took out every single one of them. Abdul-Mutalib and his relatives were witnessing all of this, and they were saying: "O' Allah, for the sake of this blessed Noor, make us victorious against our enemies". After the complete destruction of Abraha's army, the people of Mecca that left heard of the news, and came back excited to their homeland. (Bihar al-Anwar, volume 15, pages 71-74).
