There is a Chinese term called “white moonlight” which refers to an idealised unforgettable unattainable romantic love.

“… someone perfect in your memory who remains in your heart but not by your side. It represents a pure, distant, and unfulfilled romantic longing, often referred to as "the one that got away".”

In my AU, Alastor is very much a white moonlight for a number of people(Roo, Vox, Vassago, Lucifer).

Alastor’s ability to live in people’s head rent-free whether he means to or not is above top-tier.

Symbol of Longing: It signifies a, often early, love that was never fully realized or a person from the past who remains unforgettable.

Additionally there is another term, red cinnabar mole which a passionate unforgettable but forbidden love.

I feel like this applies more to Adam x Alastor because Adam becomes more passionate and enamoured the longer he and Alastor do battle/chase.

Maybe I should make a Chinese OC who can say these terms.
