I stumbled upon this figure out in the wild sometime in mid-May 2021, and I quickly snatched it up since this was first time I’d seen this figure in the stores since January of this year.
For the purposes of time and my huge backlog, I’m going to try to keep my words as brief as possible until I can catch up.
Another Dinobot. This is third one, I think?
So yea the collector's cards are randomly packed along with the Kingdom figures, and a consequence of that decision is that I end up with three Dinobot cards.
Personally I wouldn’t mind a Ractonite card, but maybe that’s asking too much.
Beast mode is a skeleton of a Styracosaurus, and it’s so freaking cool!
The bone detailing on the figure looks great in my opinion. There’s a lot of dry brushing making the some of the bones look old and weathered. However there are areas of the figure which haven’t been dry brushed at all, making those parts look cleaner than they probably should. It’s Hasbro being cheap, and I think it looks a bit tacky.
Transformation (like any of the Weaponizers or Fossilizers) mainly focuses on a lot of parts-forming; meaning you can each part can be disassembled and rearranged to make new weapons, and be pegged into 5mm ports.
Ractonite’s robot mode is a beefy (pun intended), broad chested bone monster with the type of atypical design I would expect from Beast Wars.
Like all of the Fossilizers (or weaponizers) you can configure the parts to make new weapons or body armor for the other characters.
I really like these fossilizers, and Ractonite is a lot of fun.
