I don't want to draw the Combiners more than I have to tho so this is all you're getting of these battles lmao. For added context, Megatron sent his combiners to attack different human cities as an act of revenge against the humans that defeated him three years ago (technically four years ago now since it's been a little more than a year since Starscream and Skywarp went to live at Autobot Base). The Autobots were able to intercept his plans somehow and split their forces to tackle each combiner.

So each battle is happening separate from each other.

The stunticons are all cold constructed, and their sparks were all bonded together before their activation. They exist because Megatron wanted a third combiner

Due to their messy beginnings, they aren’t the most stable of gestalts, they all have their own issues and how they deal (or not deal)

They’re like an unstable family are all lowkey toxic with each other, but don’t leave because at the end of the day that’s their family

Motormaster admires and is a little obsessed with Megatron, so he tries to copy him. Unfortunately he doesn’t understand what makes Megatron himself or what makes people obey him, so he just ends up acting like an angry controlling asshole

The rest of the gestalt resent Motormaster on various levels for this

Although they are fully grown adults (still young though), they act more like punk angsty teenagers most of the time. Unlike other child soldiers who grew up quickly, these guys went the opposite direction and stalled there

Breakdown is a nurse, and is usually assisting Knockout in the medbay

Menasor may be the smallest Decepticon combiner, but he is very skilled in combat, if he put his mind into it, he could probably beat Bruticus or Devastator. Unfortunately for him, he doesn’t really have a solid mind

The combaticons were all adults when the war started, and willfully joined the Decepticons, although they all came in from different backgrounds and didn’t know each other as anything other than acquaintances

Their gestalt bond didn’t form naturally either, they only cane together to become combiner. They were deemed good participants for the experiment by Shockwave, not because of their matching personalities, but because of their sparks, which resonated with each other well enough. They were one of the few gestalts that he made that actually survived past the first time they combined

They don’t quite love each other, unlike the Constructicons who all came together by choice, or the Stunticons who have always had each other, they don’t have strong ties besides “whelp guess we’re in an unbreakable bond and can combine together.” But as they get to know each other more, they learn to kind of care (in their own ways)

Since it wasn’t complicated enough, they are all in messy situationships with each other, their dynamics can change from day to day. It mostly comes down to “I’m horny and you’re the closest person that I can trust right now, wanna go?,” and it kinda works for them. The only consistent somewhat healthy couple is Blast off and Onslaught

Vortex and Brawl sometimes join in Swindle’s schemes. Not to help him, no, but because there’s a potential for violence if something goes wrong, and it means they get to have a fun time in a fight

Vortex is the one with the most medical knowledge, not to be confused by a medic, he only know what he does to help in his interrogations. He finds it useful to know just how far he can push a frame before breaking it permanently
