Anon the way Glee's criminal negligence of friendships is killing me slowly 😔

It's deeply upsetting how well two characters like Quinn, constantly stuck in her own drama with ridiculously large stakes and Brittany, essentially a comic relief but with incredible insights could have worked together. And they were friends! Glee just really, really sucked at showing not telling and they straight up did not care to put in the work when it came to the Unholy Trinity.

Like for real, imagine an UHT dynamic where Quinn and Santana are about to snap but Britt comes in with "stop the violence" (I actually have a solid HC that Britt really hated when they fought, based on 2x01 and 4x08 where she's genuinely upset and sort of exasperated when Quinntana are bitch slapping each other again). People think Santana was the only thing Quinn and Brittany had in common? Wrong! Brittany loved Quinn just as much and Q had a soft spot for her especially post-pregnancy. And I for real think it would have been fun to alleviate some of Quinn's drama with Brittany scenes. Imagine Quinn crying about her life and post-partum and how no one's gonna love her and then Brittany just, idk I'm not smart enough for a Britt joke lol but she does her thing to make Quinn seem less melodramatic. Tbf Quinn has a lot of valid things to cry about but that's all the more reason she needs a light in this miserable stinking world.
