oof i was thiiis close to making this response big brother but glee but that's gonna have to be its own separate thing at some point

okay okay so. i'm putting the season 5 new york crew (kurt, blaine, rachel, mercedes, sam, artie, maybe santana's here at some point too, maybe some of the other new york friends make cameos) into Only Murders in the Building. i don't think they're replacing any of the main cast, but they are residents in the Arconia or just like ~around~ and i think their presence leans more crack-y than serious

like i can imagine all of the s5 nyc crew living in a few different apartment on the same floor of the building, and the OMiTB main trio having to question some of them for their investigation but no one's sure who really lives in which apartment so it's basically a game of telephone

or like rachel (and maybe others?) being in a production that Oliver is directing

artie trying to film a documentary and following the OMiTB trio around while they're actively investigating a murder

kurt and blaine being avid listeners of the only murders in the building podcast and so badly wanting to help with an investigation

1 - I am realising that a glee tribute about any of my favourite artists would probably be very terrible and very poorly received ASDFGHJKL (my top artists on spotify are currently the last dinner party, hozier, and mazzy star...) but am I not always begging for an ABBA episode?! here are some of my fave songs and who NEEDS to sing them:

20 - I am of COURSE going to pick quinntina to become a canon ship, I am a notorious quinntina believer and enjoyer!! and I think that they should have a double wedding with...kurt and blaine (it can be their vow renewal or something - they just love a double wedding, i guess) because tina and blaine are bff's and I like to imagine that quinn and kurt are fairly close, too!

Oh wow I didn't see this and was also a bit taken aback to get a Glee ask after all this time haha. Wow! So I guess both of us are still occasionally kicking around.

I agree. I used to be a pretty hardcore Wemma shipper, but then I started to see the red flags. Will definitely made fun of Emma’s OCD, which is not okay. Will’s pettiness towards Carl was so annoying. He’s not in high school anymore; accept she doesn’t want you and move on.

here are my top 5!

1. rachel/quinn: THIS SHIP. this was the first fictional pairing i ever really fell in love with, and it’s still my favorite glee ship today. while i certainly won’t claim their relationship is perfect - the way quinn treated rachel in season 1 is my biggest issue - i think they would work well together, because quinn and rachel seem to bring out the best in each other; when they’re interacting, rachel becomes more selfless, and quinn seems to let her guard down with rachel in a way she doesn’t with anyone else on the show. also, the chemistry between diana and lea was incredible, which doesn’t hurt!

2. kurt/blaine: i love the dynamic between these two in seasons 2, 3, and 6. they grow together, then apart, and then come back together when they’re older, wiser, and a little more settled into their own skin and self (especially in Blaine’s case - he did a LOT of growing over the course of the show). there’s something so lovely about their scenes together; it’s clear that even in their very worst moments, they care deeply about each other, and i think they work really  well as a couple by the end of the show. i was rooting for them the whole time, and i glad they ended up together! 

3. mercedes/shane: i’m pretty sure this is unpopular, but i don’t even care, because god they were a cute couple! mercedes seemed to love and care for shane a lot, and shane absolutely ADORED her - that was clear from the very first scene he was in. it was clear that they both really respected each other as well, which i think is oftentimes an aspect of relationships that gets glossed over in media. were they the most exciting couple? no. but they were wonderful together, and while i do love samcedes, i think mercedes and shane had a certain vibe that made me like them a lot more. (is this a hot take? let me know!)

4. emma/carl: same general reasoning as above! emma and carl weren’t as dramatic as emma/will, but they seemed incredibly happy together, and it was clear that they had a lot of respect for and trust in each other. they were cute as heck too!! also, i can’t stand will, and emma deserved so much better than him. sorry not sorry.

There is literally nothing good about Shelby Corcoran. What a waste of Idina Menzel’s time and talent.

1. Why go through all the trouble of having your star performer basically seduce (“actually I said befriend”) your daughter in order to manipulate her into wanting to find you?

2. Said action is still illegal in terms of a violation of the adoption agreement. Why do we not see that Rachel’s fathers are livid and basically take her ass to court and have her punished for the breach of contact?

3. After going through all this trouble, how fucking dare you emotionally manipulate your child and go “oops just kidding I just realized you’re not a child you’re almost a grown adult but I wanted a child soooo bye!” You end up absolutely devastating your child by basically saying “yeah I don’t want you”

4. Then you go ahead and you adopt a child from the girl who had been making your own flesh and blood’s life hell for quite a while up to that point.

4a. On a side note, I think a conversation between Rachel and Quinn prior to Shelby adopting Beth would have been appropriate so Quinn is aware of EXACTLY who she is giving her child to. It’s a shame we didn’t get that.

5. Then you have some major balls to come back in s3 and fuck up the feelings and lives of your adopted child’s birth parents and your own biological child. You engage in a (dubiously) legal yet also pretty wrong sexual relationship with the birth father. You basically tell the birth mother (WHO CLEARLY HAS PTSD AND POST PARTUM DEPRESSION) that she needs to “grow up” and then you basically fuck around with Rachel in an important year for her by deciding “oh I’ll just go ahead and start a new club now”.

6. To be fair, the ONLY good thing you did is create the Troubletones at least from the standpoint of us all getting to see Mercedes, Santana, and Brittany come out of Rachel’s shadow to get the spotlight on them and convince Mr. Schue (finally) to get his fucking act together and actually feature more of the talent in the club.

So, in conclusion, Shelby Corcoran can go fuck herself. And someone should apologize to Idina Menzel for wasting her like that.
