Getting the binding onto the bat quilt. I prefer to hand sew the final part of the binding onto the back.
I was getting a little frustrated with myself about how long it is taking me to bind this quilt when I realized this will be the largest quilt I have ever made, so of course it is taking a long time to bind!

Quilt update; I’ve been so busy and exhausted, but I found time to sew a couple extra rows this week. I’m now halfway through binding this! Second photo is a closeup...I love this mushroom/strawberry fabric but unfortunately it’s no longer in production. I only had a tiny amount of this fabric...which is perfect because this style of quilt is great for mixing and matching small bits of fabric
Last night, I passed around the third corner of my Simply Want binding!
It's so exciting to think that, after so many years, this quilt will finally be finished! And once it is, I can start exploring quilt as you go a little more! Hopefully that will be a better fit for me and I'll be able to get even more of my tops quilted!
