I am super excited to hopefully officially participate in queer activism for the first time!
I have signed up to do a workshop for a local queer youth event that’s coming up! A representative of the organization that’s holding it came to my school’s qsa/gsa meeting and asked us at what point about what specific lgbt community topics were most important to us. I mentioned that gender expression and freedom of presentation mattered to me because I get stereotyped a lot due to it. He suggested that I do a workshop, so I applied and hopefully will be accepted and allowed to present.
I’m super excited and ready to start working on it. Does anyone have suggestions of specific things to mention or add?
ugh i went to my college’s qsa and it made me so uncomfortable they couldnt go five seconds without saying “q***r” like “q***r meetup for q***r kids yay” like... maybe i dont wanna be called that lol. also the name of the club is literally q***r students alliance
[Podcast: Introduction of the Dungeon]
Okay, it’s been five hundred years, but here is the Q&A for the Dungeon on which Anna and I (Silke Maria) have been working on for way too long! Click on the link below to listen to the recording.
[Introduction to the Dungeon]
In this recording, we answer questions about our series The Dungeon, which will be uploaded next weekend, and read a part from both of our Dungeon scenes. It lasts about 25 minutes, and is accessible on YouTube. Have fun, and please tell us what you think about it!

If there are any current or former GSA/SAGA leaders that see this, could you message me? I have some questions and would like some advice and input for a GSA I want to start at my school.

Queen Scout Award - vector file
A few weeks back, a friend of mine achieved her Queen Scout Award (or you become a Queen’s Scout; I always get this mixed up) – FANTASTIC! Much hard work had gone in, and she definitely earned it.
But when it came time for her to be surprised with a cake with the Award logo on it, the best we managed to get was this:
Because it’s originally from a low-res photo on Google, it’s pixilated and not very clear. So here is something to help that the next person that wants to do this doesn’t have the same problem:
I’m not a pro with this kind of software at all, but here’s a cleaned-up .ai illustrator file, along with an .eps file. I hope that makes someone else’s life easier in the future!
You can download the .ai, .eps, and .pdf versions of this file here.
I'm in a "QSA group chat" on instagram and there's a heap of discourse going on. Somebody we don't even know, but who they apparently all follow, and runs a "debate account" posted a poll about "How many genders are there? (Only 2) (3+)". Everyone is chatting up the owner of the account and sending in screenshots of their conversations and now there's an attempt to get the person reported/banned because "they posted stuff they shouldn't post about if they aren't lgbt" and tbh it seems a little overkill.
Free swag for the first 4,000 registrants! A student-led national event highlighting the silencing and erasure of LGBTQ people at school.
Hey y’all! My QSA is part of GLSEN’s Street Team, so if you guys could use this link to register for Day of Silence, that would be really cool!
For those of you who don’t know, Day of Silence is a Friday in April (April 27th this year) where you don’t talk for an entire day to support LGBTQ+ people who have been silenced. It’s a national project and the first 4,000 people who register get free stuff for registering.
Please consider signing up, even if you’re not sure you can do it. It gives a lot of info about it and it’s just nice to see the support.
