I grew up in a country where lgbt was illegal and there was death penalty for it, and marraiges were seen as a must. I saw no one like me in the media, genderqueer, aroace spec and people who liked the same gender (also sucks to people you say gay isn't real, and you only become gay after influence-mf, take me for example, I never heard of lgbt until my teens, and I've been like this since childhood). My family is also transphobic and homophobic, and will force me into a marraige. But, we moved to Scotland. I still haven't come out to my family, and they make a lot of homophobic remarks, but Scotland's a pro lgbt country. I met other queer people, and a lot of them helped figure out my identity. My school has a pride club, One time, there was a pride event, and my school said on the consent form it was just a equality trip so I was able to go as well. I also now have a qpr partner, and hopefully we'll move out from our homes and move in together!
