If you just got rejected from your dream school, dream job, or by some person you liked who wasn’t interested in you: it hurts. I’ve been there too. I remember when I was in my early 20s I started dating this guy who I thought was way out of my league. He was older than me, a navy seal and had a successful real estate business. I was crazy about him. And when he dumped me a few months later, I was devastated. Cried for days. There’s no way to sugar coat it, and you know I don’t believe in that anyways, getting rejected blows. But listen to me. This one rejection does not define you-- unless you let it. You aren’t a loser. You aren’t unlovable. You my friend were NOT supposed to be at that school, that job or with that person - because you have something so much greater that is MEANT FOR YOU. I not only believe that - I KNOW it is true. In this video, I give you three simple things you (or someone you care about) can do - to move the heck on from the sting of not getting what you wanted. Allow yourself to feel it. Then, set a deadline to move on. How do you move on? It’s a #MindsetReset trick - reframe that rejection - be grateful for it. As @arianagrande would say - Thank You, NEXT! I’m dead serious. Tell yourself, thank god that didn’t happen. Thank god he dumped me. Thank god I didn’t go to that school. What’s the alternative? To wallow in it? Or, tell yourself some lie that you aren’t smart or worthy? Nope! Don’t you dare use it as a reason to stop going for the things you want. STOP. You’re better than that! I know you wanted to be at “that” school or “that” job - but it was not the right thing you. How do I know - simple - it didn’t work out. And that’s okay. There’s something better waiting FOR YOU. In my case, getting dumped was the best thing that happened to me - because the next guy I met was my husband @souldegree. So say it with me - Thank you, NEXT. .
