I really like irene! Mostly just cause of the fact that she at least tried to protect me from what comes with fame even if she couldn't really cut them. I think her mentorship with the mc is gonna be really interesting and almost parental. Maybe? It kinda reads that way to me at least.
I did have a ‘family’ dynamic in mind when it came to the mentors. Feldman as the grumpy grandpa, Irene as the doting mother and Zak as the funny uncle. I think that’s fun cx
Will the judges still be part of the story after the stagebound part ends? I had this vision of Feldman desperately trying to calm down an MC that’s on an alcohol/drug binge.
(also, Feldman only has four seats? And there are 4 people in the band? Does he think he’s slick or something 😜)
Yes. The mentors spot a chance to each get something out of producing/managing the band well after the Stagebound competition (which they were eager to leave anyway. Feldman is the only recurring judge for the past decade on the show and he hates it)
They’ll sacrifice some of their own careers doing this, but they’ve been losing relevance for years anyway.
Each will provide different guidance to the industry as you might have expected. All of them will be a hindrance in some way and an asset in others.
The band gets one chair as a group unit. Will be interesting who gets to sit while the others awkwardly stand around… ;)
The mentors : wouldn't it be better if we did a boy band? Having a girl, especially on the guitar, with 3 boys, isn't going to go as well with the press 🤔
A couple years later : Actually we're a 4 boys band 🫰💖 Sure this will go well with the press now 😊

I dont want spoilers but can I have some facts about the judges? Like favorite food, game, ect. Just to get a little more fun facts about them? Do they have family or kids? I just need to know more about my baby Irene
Ask and you shall receive! Though I'm really bad at coming up with my own fun facts but I'll try :/
Irene has never looked at food the same way since becoming famous. She loves card games (surprisingly good poker face), has a tumultuous relationship with her family, wants kids but fears how it will affect her career. Umm, fun fact! Her favourite animal is a flamingo🦩
Zak loves spicy food and hates how non-spicy most things are in the UK. Fancy dining is not for him for that reason and he prefers local authentic spots (though rarely gets it because he's busy and networking requires a certain setting). Zak was shunned by his family when he was a teenager due to religious beliefs (and him not following them). He thinks crocodiles are cool. Sharks too.
Feldman finds little joy in anything so they're not enthusiastic about food, though still garnered a slight belly with age despite it (probs from all the alcohol). He'll get mildly excited about a good English Breakfast from time to time. He enjoys betting if that counts as a game. He has a daughter... He finds the ocean and aquariums calming and his favourite fish is a stingray!
