I never noticed how even after Eddie gets injured, he still ends up trying to help get the guy off Buck.

Buck and Eddie walk into the station with the rest of the team after finishing up a call only to happen upon older Buck and Eddie sitting at one of the tables, both slightly more weathered. Eddie inexplicably begins experiencing heart palpitations upon seeing Older!Buck's longer and much curlier hair, while Buck's stomach swoops when he makes eye contact with Older!Eddie, who smiles fondly at him.

Once everything is explained blah blah blah (the gist is that no one knows what the fuck is going on and Married!Buddie are from 10 years in the future and they're kind of waiting to see if they'll suddenly pop back), Buck happens to see Older!Eddie's silicon wedding band.

"You're married?" Buck asks.

This catches everyone's attention, excluding Older!Buck's, who stepped away to start making lunch and to grab tea for his husband.

("Buck..."

"No caffeine, Eddie. You heard what your doctor said.")

Eddie suddenly remembers Shannon and wonders if they got back together, so he is paying close attention while pretending to scroll on his phone.

Older!Eddie raises an eyebrow at his past self before turning his attention to Buck. He lifts up his hand and wriggles his fingers, as if to show off his wedding band.

"Yes, I am. Summer 2026, so it's been almost... 2 years?"

Okay, okay, Eddie thinks. So I meet and marry someone within the next 8 years and we're still together as of 2028. No pressure, Eddie.

"Nice!" Buck says. "Who's the lucky lady?"

"I'm gay, actually," Older!Eddie says, smirking. "So there's no lucky lady."

Eddie drops his phone.

Everyone's neck nearly snaps with how fast they turn to look at Eddie, who is avoiding all eye contact and trying to reboot his brain.

What. What. What. What. Wha--

Buck blinks, feeling something bubble up in his chest. "Oh! Well, who's the lucky... lad?"

"He's--" Older!Eddie begins.

"That would be me." Older!Buck steps out of the kitchen, warm mug in hand.

Eddie nearly gives himself whiplash jerking his head up to stare at Older!Buck, no longer caring about avoiding the stares of his teammates. Not that it would matter, since everyone's wide eyes are also on Older!Buck and his identical wedding band.

"Here you go, babe." He sets the mug of tea down in front of his husband and presses a kiss to the side of his head.

"W-wait," Buck stammers, bright red. The feeling in his chest intensifies. "But, I like- Am I... also gay?"

"Bisexual, actually," Older!Buck says, fondly. "Eddie's the only one for us, though." Older!Eddie's smile brightens enough to light up the room, and he turns his head to seek out another kiss, which Older!Buck indulges.

Older!Buck then turns and goes to continue helping Bobby, who remains blissfully unaware in the kitchen.

Buck, still red, peeks at his new friend Eddie (and also his future husband, apparently, why does that sound so right--), only to see him with his head cradled in his hands, muttering to himself in Spanish.

The tips of Eddie's ears are pink.

Cute.

"Wow," Hen says, after a moment of silence. Chimney, still stupified, simply hums in agreement.

And Buck would have to teach him internet safety

And Eddie would freak out and ask if Chris knew this and Buck would respond that practically everyone with internet knows this.

Eddie: Buck there’s a guy on the internet that lives near by and wants to meet? What should I say?

Buck: It’s a scam delete it.

Eddie: But it says he’s in my neighborhood? Maybe they just moved in.

Buck: I’m telling you it’s not.

Eddie: Buck!

Buck: you opened the email didn’t you

Eddie: I was just trying to be neighborly

Buck: Yeah yeah I’ll fix it in a bit

Eddie: Thanks……Oh a Nigerian Prince is asking for donations to help his villiage. Hand me my wallet
