Buck had been needlessly trying to avoid the thoughts about his boyfriend decidedly not staying for the bachelor party, drowning out those thoughts the best he could with alcohol. Somehow in the midst of all of that, Buck ended up telling Eddie he’d marry him, and more than that Eddie smiled with a response.
"You’d be the best husband, Buck. You cook, you clean, my kid loves you– I love you– and you’re so good, Buck. So good. I think I’m gonna marry you.”
listen i just watched buck walk into the hospital room after Maddie and chim got married again and hen's comment "well it's about damn time" makes me laugh so hard every fucking time because I know it's not even "it's about damn time for buck and tommy" but really seriously "it's about damn time for buck to realize he likes men" lmaooooo cause I really don't even think buck had an internal sense of sexual orientation identity. i think truly he never thought about it cause he liked women and so he didn't ever think about trying men and it wasn't like he was like "I am straight and like women" because I don't even think he says it once and i know he never says it when someone jokes he's into a man.. but i don't think he ever says it at all because i don't think he identifies that way i think he just considers himself default.
and that right there is an amazing story about heterosexism creating this hilarious irony and it is so enjoyable
