once again this is inspired by @twiggyart6 from their eridian grace fanfic.
I’ve been dilly dallying reading to many fanfics and trying to figure out how different types of rock might work for genes (idk know if I’m actually gonna do that or just make it random but it would be no fun if it where random) I haven’t written the rock stuff down but I did get a tiny bit done.
I tried not to add scars as this is a gene drawing and not actually a drawing of grace (when I get better at drawing eridians I will for sure) but I didn’t know if anything wasn’t mentioned that was a purposeful scar they added for grace or not, but it reminded me of vents so I was thinking about a possible mutation that wither makes bigger vents or more visible vents. Idk tho.
Another thing I started actually reading the book yesterday and I’m about after grace hurts his hand on the cylinder.

The way chuds think human sexual dimorphism should work is wild. Like they think men are "supposed" to have these big lantern jaws and women are "supposed" to have delicate narrow faces with little pointed chins. Like those are two completely different phenotypes, you dorks.

nonblack ppl piss me of so bad when talking about ancient (or even modern!) Egypt and try to differentiate the “race” of Egyptians with the arbitrary marker of “sub Saharan” Africans being coded as what we see as unambiguously Black features vs the popular modern day depiction of Egyptians as white/light skinned Arab and Central Asian ppls, when like Nubians, Kenyans, & Sudanese are very much still here and were very much a part of or originators of Egyptian society. it was an ethnically diverse area to begin with but ppl overlook or obscure North Africa’s history with Arabization and Arabic imperialism that definitely color what we believe to be the dominant ethnic groups and phenotypes representative of the area. it makes sense that coastal areas and continental land bridges would be phenotypically varied bc of trade routes and accessibility, but be fr, lol the carry and obscuring of phenotypically Black groups from these areas is ridiculous.
