Why did G1 Stacy join the Decepticons?
In G1, Stacy is actually related to Doctor Arkeville. She's his great niece, and she works under him towards his goal of planetary conquest.
However, Stacy believes that he thinks too small. Why settle for a planet when you can conquer the universe?
Once Doctor Arkeville is disposed of by Shockwave, Stacy pledges her loyalty to the Decepticons, and she even changes her last name to "Solace" in order to regain her sense of autonomy from her great uncle.
