So I don't have a lot of free time to go super in depth like I really want to on this topic, but I really want to participate today since I missed yesterday. So this is just a simple appreciation post to acknowledge a small moment that happened in the series that I always saw as incredibly heroic despite it not being a part of some epic battle.

I want to give acknowledgement to Peaure. The young journalist who wanted nothing more than to tell the truth despite knowing the threat against his own life, and the lives of those he cares about by doing so.

His simple resolve to do the right thing pushed Peaure to fight back by writing an article that exposed the corrupt monarchy to the masses, which in turn helped free the Survey Corps from all false allegations against them, and sway the people in their favor.

He simply did his job. No more, no less. But in standing up for his right to tell the truth, and the rights of all others to know the truth, he accomplished something that managed to shake the foundation of the world they all live in, and change it for the better.

In my opinion, Peaure should be regarded as a hero. He didn't do much in the way of battle, but he still put his life on the line to do what he knew was right and uphold his responsibilities to the public as both a citizen of the walls and as a Journalist.

Yes, there are lots of other characters I like, though the Veterans will always hold a special place in my heart. 

I’m a big fan of Connie because he speaks his mind and he speaks for many of us.  He’s honest and he’s loyal and I hope he gets to avenge his village and his family. I like Colt and Falco, because how could you not?  I sympathise with Reiner because he’s such a well developed character and he’s caught in such a the hellish situation. I like(d) Dimo and Flegel Reeves and Roy and Peaure because of the important role they played in the Uprising Arc.  I love Historia because she’s awesome, and Ymir because she’s a disaster.  I adored Kenny, (but only when he wasn’t trying to kill Levi), because he’s such a ridiculous badass.   And I love Pieck because she’s smart, brave and perceptive, and I fancy the pants off her.

At first he seems to be the person who is afraid to oppose the government, but then we understand: he worries not about himself, but about his family and friends

As was said, uprising was successful because of many individual choices made. And Roy's choice was among them

Here we are for a brand series of new PSAs! The reason why I started these in February is because February chapters always gave a consistent volume conclusion (as it was the case with last year’s chapter, which on top of that also closed a whole perspective), that the chapters were eventually satisfactory (Bertolt taking action, Floch calling the SC out, Eren finding a new, but grim resolve), and because the owner of this blog is a major narcissist whose birthday is the same day of the chapter’s release in Japan.

Isayama just finished chapter 102. Last chapter felt like a first part of an upcoming battle. The fandom’s predictions on what’s going to happen next were mixed.

While I’d love to have an explanation as to why and how Eren and company came inside Marley, I feel like putting a flashback now would break the current action. The audience needs to know why Eren left at that time and how the current state on Paradis is. At the same time, we could have all the information spread on several chapters: we would keep the most on-topic information for this month and leave the rest after. Paradis isn’t the only faction I’m curious about: there’s also Reiner, Falco and Zeke missing from last chapter, Lady Tybur if she isn’t blown off by the thunderspears, Pieck and Porco’s counterattack… I think Gabi and Colt can wait; they’re out of danger for now.

My personal wishlist for not only this chapter, but also the next one will be:

An explanation as to why Eren acted at that time.

Levi reigniting himself through his last vow to Erwin and rampaging his way to Zeke, the same way the warriors slaughtered SC squads as a parallel. Levi reaching Zeke but dying before he can kill him.

Falco’s fate. My personal bet is on fatally wounded and unable to continue.

Reiner trying to find some inner strength in him and taking part in the battle. Bonus if he has flashbacks of Bertolt the way Historia had flashbacks of Ymir.

Jaw and Cartman Titans in action versus SC members.

And finally, who came to Eren’s rescue. Bonus if Floch is there as well and eyerolling endlessly.

According to reliable sources (/u/Moonwalking_Eren), the spoilers are going to drop the 6th. As a reminder, I’ll keep the #snk_spoilers and #snk_102 as spoiler tags, as usual.
