Lost Causes & No Regrets

Of course! I'm sure I've answered this before, but it was years and years ago. It's kinda dumb. I was really just laughing at myself when I fell hard and fast into the Eruri fandom. I'd previously had an Age of Sail fandom blog on Livejournal, but setting up a tumblr blog for an anime fandom at the ripe of old age of 47 just seemed soooo ridiculous XD I remember laughing and shaking my head and thinking "you're a lost cause" but at the same time I had absolutely no regrets! The no regrets bit also neatly echoed ACWNR, so it was too perfect really.

I really didn't expect people to start calling me Lost, but I've become very fond of it, especially as my real name does actually derive from a word for lost. I do draw the line at Lostie though 😅

I've had this blog for over a decade now, I'm still a bit of a lost cause, and I definitely have no regrets. I can't tell you how much fun I've had in this fandom over the last ten years. I've met so many amazing people from all over the world, many of whom are my very best friends and who have been there for me through thick and thin ♡

Welcome back to the fandom, Eruri truly is a ship for life ♡ It's true that the whole Shingeki fandom here on tumblr is a shadow of its former self, but stories of the Eruri fandom's demise are definitely premature. There are still active communities on Bluesky, Discord and X, (god knows what goes on on TikTok), and there are a good few of us still hanging out here on tumblr. I've noticed quite a few new artists popping up on tumblr recently which is always nice to see. I mothballed my twitter account a couple of years ago for obvious reasons, and I'm not as active here as I once was but rest assured my love for Eruri hasn't dimmed and this blog will always hold a special place in my heart. And if further proof were needed, the fact that Isayama has just shared new Eruri art shows that the fandom is still alive and kicking 😁
