S-4-1-(8 miles) New month, Easter, April Fools Day & Sunday RUNday! Well I overslept a bit this morning and it was crazy cold out for Easter (20s!) so I pushed my run to the afternoon and instead spent the morning working on some school work, getting ready for the day and eating this great smoothie! Then we were off to church. After church we had a really big brunch and needless to say I ate a bit to much, but I enjoyed myself nonethelessđ After brunch we just relaxed for a little bit and then while everyone was napping I headed out for my run. I was really feeling the purple today as you could see. I have it in my nails, my water bottle, my shirt and my watch! All about it:) It was a very cold day for Easter. So I was actually freezing to start. It was completely overcast, but the wind wasnât that bad so I warmed up after a mile. I started off with 2 miles at 9:05 for recovery. These felt good and easy. Then I started my Fartlek miles. These didnât feel as hard as they did a few weekend ago. Probably from all the recovery I did this weekend, but still. My paces were. 8:27, 8:23, 8:26, 8:10. I finished with 2 more miles of recovery at 9:15. Overall a pretty good run! I had some heartburn (as to be expected), but no flute or shoulder issues! Post run I attempted to do some core work, but it didnât really happenđ I ended the night by spending some time with my family, packing and stretching. I had heartburn all day probably due to my diet this weekend. But hey back to school, means back to healthy eatingđ One weekend never killed anyone:) Iâm planning on continuing with my âpeak weekâ but I am not going to put too much stress on myself. I mostly just want to get that long run in. Iâm not worried about paces this week. Iâll save that for next week. Off to bed so I can actually get up and run a progression run before my busđ Today Iâm thankful for family & brunchin
