Knock knock, is this thing still on? You're probably wondering where I've been. The answer honestly isn't very interesting. I've just been working from home which doesn't have that same aesthetic appeal for photo shoots as the main shop. That being said, take a look at this lovely Glow Avalon headed to the land down under tomorrow 🥰 I always love the way these come out. What do you guys think about the light etch compared to my usual work? I'm thinking of offering this as a complete separate ring from the Avalon. The trick to this one is leaving it in room temperature acid for a few hours to etch it only until the pattern is visible. It's still smooth to the touch and has the traditional shine of steel while the deeply etched Avalon has very visible and deep ridges creating a much more spiny ring. Eshkar asked me to make an engagement ring so that she could propose and boy does she have a lucky man. Disaster struck as I managed to break my last drills, order more, break those, jam my cross slide, and finally get a ton of metal splinters stuck in my hand. Blood sweat and tears much? Not once did she lose her patience, cool, or grace. The reason this got completed in time was definitely because she never gave me a reason to crack under pressure, even in the worst circumstances. I'm pretty sure I sponged up all of the nearby bad luck so as long as you guys don't walk under any ladders I think it'll be nothing but smooth sailing and happy days to come.
