Background
Born as the son of a Oni Shrine Priestess, Aoi is the younger brother of Kenta and is the dutiful son of the two. Aoi had inherited the Magic of the Oni, which help him pursue the life of a scholar and studious monk learning rites and rituals to aid around the shrine. Though he has graduated from basic training and some more advance classes his mother told him to get out into the world to learn of it's ways to broaden his horizon and understand more to life. As such he is out in the scope of seeking Enlightenment, though he has no idea how.
Personality
Aoi is far more calmer of the brothers and seeks a more analytical approach. He prefers the slow approach pondering over the mysteries of life while enjoying a small vice of smoking. Fancies himself as a philosopher and poet often musing on the day to day affairs and seek greater and deeper meaning into everything.
Though in his pursuit of his Enlightenment he often cannot see the forest for trees being blinded by his own slight vanity. Though while he is skilled in magic his aloofness doesn't exactly make it easy for him to make friends. And while he does accept defeat in humility he's more of a grumbler about it and is prone to backhanded compliments without realizing it. A flaw he is admittedly trying to fix.
Aoi does love his brother even if he thinks his older brother is too hot headed for his own good, and to those he does consider friends he does try to be sincere in complimenting them even if it doesn't always hit the mark. Though he does share his brother's displeasure for when sacred sites are ruined or destroyed.
Powers
Magic of the Oni - He inherited great magic from his mother. In particular he's able to conjure a somnolent fog that can lull others into drowsiness or even falling asleep while he himself remains unaffected. He is able to manipulate this with great precision able to mold his sleeping fog into forms like arrows, or more often spirits for the added effect.
Dream Walker - He's able to enter the dreams of others and observe them, and can with some effort manipulate their dreams. It's easier to manipulate the dreams of those who fell asleep by his Fog however
Night Walker - He has superior night vision like his brother being able to see about three hundred feet in total darkness. However he's also exceptionally stealthy in darkness being able to move without a sound.
Sage Magic - He knows several spells to cure ailments and mend wounds, though he needs to focus while channeling these curative magics. He also knows a few minor spells of frost and wind, which he mainly uses in self defense.
Equipment
Smoking Pipe - A long elegantly carved pipe which he uses to smoke and as a medium to enhance his Fog Magic.
Waizashi - A short sword which he mainly uses only in self defense. He's not particular skilled in sword fighting however so it's more of a last resort.
Strengths
Exceptionally skilled in a few schools of magic
Well verse in the lore of spirits and various rites and ritual
Analytical and a somewhat skilled tactical mind
Completely silent in dark areas
Weaknesses
His aloofness makes it hard to be friends
Not very durable or strong, really pathetic in melee
Easily manipulated by playing to the vanity of his intelligence and 'wisdom'
