Tonight's Twilight - Faelight / Flins x Illuga
It was a day like any other. At long last, dusk had come, and the grey haired man could spare a moment for himself. He mindlessly walked for a minute from the Statue of Seven next to Pyramida until he found a quiet spot. He decided to sit under a tree and observe the world go on without him for a minute.
It was a habit at this point. Despite having contributed much to the Lightkeepers' forces and safety of the people in Nod-Krai, he still could not feel that he belonged. The fact that he was alive always ate at him when he saw people go on with their days.
He witnessed them eat, laugh and drink. That was more than enough to fill his heart with love and purpose to go on living but there remained a part of him that felt disconnected to all that occurred around him - as if he did not care about himself whatsoever, as if watching a movie unfold right before him.
Little did the young lightkeeper know that he was not quite alone in this supposedly lonesome moment, for another was right behind him, aiming to scare the living hell out of him.
"Hello there, young master. How-"
The two stared at one another for a moment. The fae was pouting as he stared at the frightened man before him with a "confused" expression.
"Now, now, young master. There is no need to be so tense on such a beautiful evening. Do relax."
"You can not creep up on people in this way and tell them to relax you know..."
Illuga, now sighing as he was relieved, placed a hand on his heart and shut his eyes to regulate his breathing and heartbeat. Flins, not staying true to his advice, approached the young one ever so quietly and closed the distance between them as he placed one of his hands on Illuga's, the one he had placed on his chest.
Startled, the gray haired man opened his eyes only to be met face to face with the fae. He should be used to this by now. It was not the first time that Flins had done such things after all but it proved all the more difficult to normalize this.
To Illuga, there was something curious about the long haired man, he always wished to understand what his expressions meant. He wished to know what the man before him actually felt and thought about for his actions and words were always contradictory that he would drive him mad at times.
"Why, checking on the young master of course. You seem all the more exhausted today. Was there much to take care of today?"
Flins had simply bent down, one knee to the ground, closing the distance between him and the other. Of course, Illuga was used to this. Sighing once again, he looked away as Flins began to sit right across him though too close for comfort.
"Just the usual... It is nothing really. I simply needed to walk for a minute. A change of pace helps me remain focused on days that to need me to pull an all nighter..."
He looked up at his fellow coworker who was now smiling all the more. Illuga froze in place. This had always meant that the answer did not prove satisfactory to the other. Who knew what he was going to do?
"Yes, really. That's it. Really now. You do not have to worry about me this much."
The fae did not break eye contact so Illuga diverted his eyes. He noticed the sleeves of the taller man were slightly loose.
"Flins, have you been eating well lately? You haven't been skipping out on meals and going around town, right? Why do you look so thin? Let's go back to Pyramida. I will cook you a meal at..."
As the young man kept worrying over the long haired man, the fae's mind began racing all the more, the other's words slowly fading as he grew all the more intrigued.
Something about Illuga seemed so human to him and he wished to understand it. He wished to dig deeper and grasp what it is about the younger one that made him wish to hold him close. It was a confusing feeling to the older lightkeeper given his lonely past. Nonetheless, he never shied away from taking the next step. He is known for his boldness after all.
"... all day. Not even all day. You make me worry about you day and night, sir Flins. Please try to care for yourself more often. Hey! Are you listening?? Don't tell me you spaced out as I was speaking just now?!"
"Not at all, young master. I do have to say, I am starting to find your scolding and care for me all the more endearing."
Illuga had grown frustrated dealing with the other man so he got up, getting ready to get back to the lighthouse for maintenance.
"What are you talking about...? Flins, you know that I must tend to all the lightkeepers' needs as a leader. It is my duty after all. I don't see how that has anything to do with you specia-"
The fae, as a flame, swiftly moved to the shorter one's side, taking hold of his waist from behind as his human form came to be. Illuga, not processing how the man came to be right next to him, froze in place as the somehow cold breath of the fae caressed his ears.
Flins turned the other man around to take a good look at his blushing face as he held a few strands of his hair and began caressing them.
"You are truly a role model for all the lightkeepers, are you not.. young master?"
His eyes were half open, solely focused on the one before him as he cornered him, having his back be met with the tree.
"Flins... A-Are you okay? If something is wrong then..."
"Oh yes. There is. But for now, there is no need to speak of such matters."
"What..?! You always change the subject and never finish what you are saying! If it something serious this time then-"
Flins took a hold of the shorter one's chin and raised it.
"My dear master... You might be more dense than me when it comes to human advances... Now, if I may."
Wasting no moment whatsoever, the fae connected their lips and began to kiss the shorter one all the more as he took a hold of Illuga's arms.
He then began to caress them as he slid his hands underneath the young one's gloves, his cold hands - despite wearing gloves himself - sending shivers down the other's spine.
"F-Flins, this is... w-wrong... We have to go back for now... P-Please..."
The older Lightkeeper broke the kiss and looked at the other slightly puzzled.
"Is it that you do not desire me, young master? Is there anything I am missing perhaps..."
"N-No, that's not what I meant..."
For a man who often spoke in a non sincere manner, he sure was honest in this moment.
"I-I would not say I hated it... But... We really should-"
Having gotten his answer, the fae wasted no time proceeding as he saw fit, his hands travelling down to pull Illuga's turtleneck.
He went a bit deeper with his kisses as he travelled down the other's neck, removing the shorter one's jacket.
The boy was a blushing mess, trying to catch his breath. There was a reason his neck was always hidden. It was always sensitive to any sensation. Even the cold air was deeply felt so now that the fae's tongue had met his neck, the saliva made the air seem all the more cold, rendering him all the more sensitive as his senses got overwhelmed.
"If you enjoy it then there is no point in rejecting it now, correct?"
"Always so righteous, young master. I am afraid your facial expression keeps on betraying you as it pleads for more."
As Flins pulled the jacket to take it off, he pulled the two of them down, Illuga now sitting against the tree and Flins on the shorter one's thigh. He held the back of Illuga's head with one hand and his back with the other as he made his way to his ear to leave a bite.
The two were quiet for a moment, Illuga with eyes wide open having realized what sort of sound had just escaped his lips, he hugged the long haired man tightly and pouting, he spoke.
Flins let out a chuckle before speaking up.
"My apologies, young master. I did not mean to make you feel embarrassed. I was simply taken aback, not quite expecting my advances to ignite such passion within you. It was quite the lovely sound."
"Y-You! You are quite shameless, did you know that?"
"And if I may be even more shameless in this moment... I wish to hear your passionate sounds once more. I do wonder whether I am worth bearing witness to such a sweet voice. What do you think, my pretty master?"
"Wh-What are you... saying...? Stop, please... It is too much."
The man stared at the gray haired one for a moment.
"Do you truly wish for me to stop? Right at this moment?"
Illuga grew all the more frustrated. He was supposed to come here to relax after all. But now he sat in the dark evening as the moon began to rise, getting all the more annoyed by the feelings and thoughts that were coming forth.
He began frowning. His eyebrows seemingly pleading as he finally raised his face to stare at the fae, his grip on the back of his shirt getting tighter, tears accumulating in his eyes. Perhaps the fatigue had caught up to him after all, forcing him to be honest about his needs.
"D-Do not stop!... Please... Please don't..."
"As you wish then, young master."
Flins bit his gloves as he began to remove them. Illuga followed the other's every move, becoming all the more expectant. The fae slipped his hand underneath Illuga's shirt as he held his face with the other.
"Are you sure of this...?"
If he was not sure before, then he sure was now. The look Flins gave him made him grow all the more weak for him. He proceeded to nod, his pleading eyebrows and red cheeks adding to the sight.
"Do what you want, Flins..."
Such words had made the older Lightkeeper grow curious. What could he do in this moment to fully enjoy the one before him? How could he make him feel good?
His hand continued upwards as they reached the younger one's chest.
"Y-Your hands are always so cold, Flins..."
He proceeded to massage the other's chest, his cold fingertips sending shivers down his spine as his nipple made the excitement all the more evident, his breathing rate now increasing.
"Never thought our young master was as daring as this. I must say, I am slightly surprised."
"It... It's the first time..."
Wishing to tease the young leader, Flins licked the other's neck and placed one of his hands on Illuga's crotch as the other continued to toy with his chest.
"First time that... That I..."
"I am afraid I am finding it difficult to understand you right now, master Illuga. Would you mind speaking up for me?"
"I-I don't know... I... can't think..."
"I need you to navigate me through this, my dear leader. Do show me what you most desire..."
Illuga, though weakly, reached out to Flins' lips and approached him so as to kiss him, the other slightly backed up.
"I see... So this was what you enjoyed most...?"
Illuga, though knowing the teasing Flins usually made him go through, at the current moment, he could not handle it whatsoever. Heartbroken by the rejection, tears began to roll down his face.
Such a sight left the fae speechless for once. He said nothing for he knew what he was meant to do and it all concerned the pleasure of the young master. He went ahead and kissed him, just as the other had asked.
The kiss had calmed the younger Lightkeeper, something that he found confusing. He expected his heart to jump out of his chest but to his surprise, he found himself relaxing more than usual. A weight was lifted off of his shoulders - was that how closure felt like? He wondered as he gazed at the other man before him.
As expectant as Illuga was for what was to come, the fae had other plans. Taken aback by the young Master's current expression, he could not help but avert his gaze, seemingly flustered by the sight.
He was confused as well, he is a fae after all - how come he was feeling this way towards the young one? He began to find it difficult to look at him or utter a word. Of course he cares about him but he never felt any sort of desire to take over someone, to devour them whole and keep them close. All these poems and books he read in his distant past were starting to make sense.
Flins fixed up Illuga's shirt and took a step back as he coughed to make sure he did not trip on his own words.
"Illuga, I must apologize if I perhaps made you uncomfortable. Nonetheless, it remains true that you are one with truly... interesting reactions."
Illuga covered his face with his arm since he knew he was blushing. It was irritating, that the one who never backed down from teasing him was now flustered right before him. It took him a moment to regain his composure and process what the fae before him was saying.
He then realized that he had called him by his name, no title attached. As his eyes widened, he looked right at the taller man and wished to question him - he did not know what he wanted to ask but he knew that he wished to understand what this moment truly meant - yet no words could escape his mouth. He was surprised even further to find the fae looking at him in a pleading manner, as if he were asking him to not tease him back. To have mercy upon him, despite all that he made the other go through.
Illuga sighed and took a step forward, placing a hand on the Lightkeeper's cold face.
"Flins, I... I find it hard to say what it is that I wish to speak about but... I hope this isn't one of your tricks to-"
With a serious look on his face, Flins quickly grabbed the young master's hand and looked him in the eyes.
"My dear master, you have known me for so long. Do you truly not think of my actions as sincere in this moment?"
A quiet moment or two passed, Illuga smiled as he let go of the fae.
The two remained silent as the wind grew colder.
"I should get back to work."
Illuga began to leave the Lightkeeper behind, who was at a loss for words - something that is surprising for the smooth talker that he is, or seemingly was, since he feared that he would never live this moment down after all.
Illuga noticing the lack of reply, simply turned back and spoke.
"I hope that... this is not the last act of sincerity that I see from you, Mister Flins... I too wish to be more truthful with you after all."
With a bittersweet smile, he left the fae behind, somehow hopeful about his future encounters with the other.
Flins simply gazed down at the ground with a solemn face, slightly troubled about what took place and closed his eyes.
The dry winter leaves danced in the air as the fae whispered;
"Perhaps it is time for me to allow rest to the grave of old times after all..."
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Can you guys tell that I wish to make Flins some sort of vampire by the way I described his feelings? All good.
I wish they had made Illuga's and Flins' bond slightly more meaningful beyond just banter? They did not give the two enough time to understand the other and speak on it. Not sure if I will continue this but nonetheless,,,, Thank you for reading.
