At the cue being given Rhea leapt into action, springing from her spot. Her hair flowing freely as her eyes glanced upon the ogre as she let her bone blades slide out of their sockets on her arms. Crossing them she spotted her main target as she began to descend like a red comet. She reared one of her arms back before adjusting her body in mid-fall to put more of the pointed edge lined up to a small point to the ogre's arm. The blade pierced true, piercing through the ogre's thick skin, muscle, and bone, punching through to the other side. With a frenzied and joyous smile she let out a low growl as she ripped the bone blade to the side taking out a small chunk of the muscle and skin with it. The corkscrew carvings of her boneblade dripped with blood as the spiraled design helped puncture deep to amplify the wound to the brachial artery. 'Sever the Brachial artery, snap the bones. A wound like that would put the arm out of commission, the tear will cause immense blood lost within minutes. Now to outlast him... maybe go for a femoral artery next' Rhea thought as she bounded backwards using her fawny legs to put space now she done her ambushing strike. Though she had a wide unnerving grin on her face, her green irises slowly turning red with her waking bloodlust
Mr Brute yelped in great pain from Rhea's attack, desperation setting itself in its mind. He then pulled out a horn from its bag around its waist.
"Shit!" Aeon cursed as he realized what it was for. They had no idea it might have friends!
The horn made a loud sound of a call as Mr Brute blew into it, startling many wild life to those who don't follow the call. Not long after, rapid stomps could be heard and felt, as these stomps shook the earth.
Trees came falling down, and Aeon had to dive out of the way or he would have gotten crushed by a large boar. This boar had mighty tusks, far larger than a bear, covered in a few scars to show its experience. It's piercing red eyes spotted Rhea, seeing its master hurt. It gave a ear piercing screech before charging at Rhea to try and skewer her with its tusks.
Mr Brute fell to one knee and dug into its pouch again with its one good arm, only for Aeon to slice the pouch off with his sword. The ogre and him made eye contact, Aeon not missing a beat to duck from a swipe and run to snatch the dropped bag. It did prove to be heavy, made for an ogre after all. That moment of paused didn't help, as Aeon would be grabbed by the ogre, being hoisted into the air and struggling against the grip that tried to crush him.
Rhea saw the boar heading for her and waved cheerfully. "Heya Mr. Boar!" she said in a cheerful tone as she dug her hooves in. She slightly widened her stance her eyes redden by a sudden prospective thrill. As the boar charged on she withdrew her bone blades before raising her arms trying to aim it right. 'Aim for the eyes... as it makes contract... draw!' she thought to herself as she tensed her muscles. As the boar came close she took a small, if unneeded, shallow breath before thrusting her arm out as the bone blades shot forward in time as the boar slammed itself into her. Pain hit her sides as the boar's tusks skewered her flesh. But such a sensation was quickly dull and already forgetting. Dark ichor seeped from her wounds as she was pierced staining her armor. Though such impalement for her was far more worse for the boar, for her boneblades were now within the boar's skulls through the soft sockets. Deep blood and other viscera flowed down her corkscrew boneblades and out the skull. With a wicked grin she retracted her boneblades before shoving the boar off, the tusk gouging a little of her undead flesh with it. "Boar hunts are fun!" she said cheerfully before glancing at the ogre and Aeon. Her eyes were still a crimson hue, and she leaned forward before running. With a eerie child like giggle she leapt at the ogre, aiming her next strike directly to his back to wound him. And hopefully to get him to release her new friend Aeon
Rhea nodded. "I can be light sometimes" she said tapping her hoof to the ground as if charging a small thing before leaping off. A good couple feet ahead before bounding, it seems much like a deer her method of running was a mix of galloping and leaping. Still she seem to be as fast as a normal deer bounding over small things with her hair flowing freely behind her. Oddly graceful if one could discount what she was.
Though the run was relatively smooth with Rhea dodging a few branches and stones she slowly came to a halt on the edge of a small outing. Up ahead was a small hill in the middle of the forest with the air of rotted meat hanging on the breeze. Due to mostly the half cooked animal carcasses around and a large campfire that seemed to be recently extinguish. As Rhea theorized on the far side was a medium sized running stream snaking it's way around. And around various stolen supplies from a waylaying gig.
"I think this is where Mr. Brute lives" Rhea said in a low tone keeping herself towards a tree trying to hide slightly, keeping an eye out for any movement. While she didn't see any traps or a possible ogre moving around... she did know she actually had no idea what a trap would look like. She glanced at Aeon. "You lead I'll follow"
Aeon viewed the campsite, trying to take note of anything. There seemed to be a hut that the ogre built, made out of large chunks of wood, stone and dirt. "I'm going to search the area, watch my back," he told Rhea before quietly and cautiously make his way into the camp.
There was a fire going at the center, with several sticks set up for cooking meat. The embers were recent and are steadily spreading on the firewood. He moved towards the hut, hugging the wall as he looked around the corner of the entrance, only to see nothing but the hammock the ogre would be sleeping in. Curious, he made his way behind the hut and found a beat up carriage full of supplies, with a tarp over it.
Aeon would make his way back to Rhea quickly. "Seems like Mr. Brute isn't home, probably out hunting since the camp fire was recently lit. I found a carriage in the back of the hut, most likely where he keeps his stolen goods."
Soon as Aeon said he would leave to check out the area, Rhea gave a firm nod before looking out. Keeping her ears perked and eyes keen to watch for any movements that could suggest anyone coming in, or out for that matter. Happily for her it seems the forest was still quiet and no movements made, though she was tapping her hoof slightly. The thought of what might come was starting to excite her.
Though the second she saw Aeon come back she stilled her leg and smiled at him cheerfully. "really, well after we deal with Mr. Brute we might be able to return some of the stuff back to those stolen from. Though uh... I don't think Mr. Brute stole any spices judging by how plain that game meat looks" She glanced over to the cooking fire. "that said though Aeon... what's the game plan? You mentioned something about schemes, you got an idea?" she asked encouragingly at him.
"I do. Mr. Brute will no doubt be returning from a hunt any minute now. His guard will be down, so we set up an ambush. We can assign roles between us. I can distract the ogre and when I have his attention you can jump in when I have it stunned," Aeon said, showing Rhea a glowing walnut that fit in his palm. "This works as a sort of flash bang. So, when I let it out you better cover your eyes to not go blind. After that, you can jump on in."
Rhea nodded. "That sounds good to me. If he has any weak points I might be able to target them, depends on where to..." she looked around before her eyes focused on the entrance of the ogre's abode, just above it. A flat enough place she could comfortably get up to and wait. "Up there I think... I might be able to get the..." she paused before looking at Aeon. " 'drop' on him." she let out a small playful giggle at her own joke. "But a good enough leap and velocity could prove wonders... or enough to cause sufficient bleeding if I can get to a brachial or femoral artery..." She paused deep in thought. "If I'm able to server one of them that'll either take out Mr. Brute's arm or his legs. Crippled in a way that even if he doesn't hemorrhage from the trauma he would be put at a sufficient disadvantage against the two of us. I could go for a tap on the spine... but I'm not exactly sure if I could server that." It seemed Rhea had a small knowledge of medical anatomy... and a complete nonchalance of applying it for harm in this case.
Aeon snorted at her pun and gave a thumbs up to her. He didn't exactly understand anatomy but he trusted her to get a good hit in at least. "Then we have a plan. All we have to do is wait. Care to be a look out when he comes?" Aeon asked, before rubbing his chin. "We can do a whistle to single each other."
Rhea nodded. "Sure... I'll make a call like this." she said before letting out a sweet sounding whistle, like a bird call. She did it one or two times more so it was clear in Aeon's head. After which she turned looking at the top of the campment. "and now to just..." she took a deep breath before running, bounding onto the side of the wall. Much like a deer prancing uphill she managed to get up to the top before kneeling down, preparing for her task. Till then she kept an eye out glancing around and using her senses to keep an eye out for the ogre. She had faith in Aeon, and she was thankful he had faith in her.
Aeon decided to stick to the trees, hiding behind one as got his flash bang at the ready. The quiet of the forest lingered, soft breeze as the shadows from the sun shifted ever so slightly. Despite how quiet it was, it was far from peaceful, as tension grew in anticipation of the ogre.
Rhea would the spot a lumbering figure, large and intimidating. The ogre was approaching, with a large ax and dragging the corpse of a bear it had killed.
Rhea noticed the motion and continue laying low. After a moment, her ears flicking this way and another, her eyes trained to make sure it was the ogre they were hired to remove, she nodded to herself. She pursed her lips together letting out the soft and sweet bird call whistle to let Aeon know that Mr Brute was coming along. She did it once more just in case, but kept herself hidden.
Her heart began to pound slightly, and she could feel her blood racing. The anticipation of a hunt, the thrill of red hot blood being spilled. The little things in her life she enjoys. And now she'll get to indulge in that type of enjoyment, and with a friend. Her muscles tensed ready to spring into action the moment Aeon gave her the signal.
Mr Brute soon arrived at the scene, taking a sniff in the air as something was off about his hut.
But, before it could realize what was happening, Aeon threw the flash bang out from his hiding spot. Upon contact at Mr Brute's feet, the walnut burst open and a flash of light came out that illuminated the area. Mr Brute got the blunt of the flash, causing him to roar in confusion as he dropped the dead animal he collected.
"Now!" Aeon called out to Rhea.
At the cue being given Rhea leapt into action, springing from her spot. Her hair flowing freely as her eyes glanced upon the ogre as she let her bone blades slide out of their sockets on her arms. "I'm a very special girl" Rhea admitted turning her arm over to examine her bone blade, as if checking to make sure it was to her sharpness. After a moment she slowly moved her arm towards Aeon holding it out. Using her other hand she spread the fur out of the arm with the blade back out so Aeon could get a better view of the bone blade slowly sinking in. It wasn't so much vanishing into the fur as it was sinking into her actual arm. "I am a faun, though not a normal one yes. I was made with lots of love and necromancy." she cheerfully admitted as her bone blade retracted. "It's a long story that I can share freely after we deal with Mr. Brute. But" she brought up her right hand over her chest making a quick crossing motion. "I swear on my heart I mean you no harm, if you mean me no harm. If we do kill Mr. Brute..." she eyed him for a moment focusing in on his features, as if doing a quick examination of her own before breaking into an easy going smile. "...how bout you and me go get a couple of drinks? I'll buy the first round, and I'll tell you a bit more about my stitches."
Necromancy would explain it. Certainly an interesting story to tell, she probably was given a second chance in life. Not many people do.
"Alright, it's a deal!" Aeon cheered, shaking her furry hand with a smile.
"Let's see if we can find a trail. If we are close to it's territory, I'm sure Mr. Brute will be walking around. We'd be lucky if he is away from his home so we can set up a trap."
"Well I know Mr. Brute lives in a hill somewhere in this forest" Rhea said looking around. "Judging by a few things I would wager a guess he's somewhere south east of here. Considering the nearest trade route where one could set up an ambush of his size..." she looked towards that direction.
"The vegetation is the highest and densest there. Which also means there should be some form of water moving, a stream or small river. Even ogres need to drink water sometime. So that would be my first guess where he may set up camp, especially as that might be around a hill area. Good vantage point, and if there big rocks plenty to smash to use to smash a caravan or set up a blockade to force a detour into a more dangerous territory. I also notice there isn't a lot of prancing bunnies or deer or other animals there... so he may been hunting as well. Or they been really good at keeping quite." She blinked before smiling. "I am kinda good about nature stuff. But uh traps... I don't know too much on it. Still that's just a hunch, I could be totally wrong and we could be going around in circles." She earnestly admitted
"No, that's really good! That gives us a good idea on where we can track it. With your knowledge of nature and my schemes, we can take this ogre down no problem," Aeon praised Rhea, impressed by her knowledge of nature. "Why don't you lead the way, and once we are sure where he is at, we can stay hidden and form a plan there. Also, I don't think I got your name."
"Ah it's Rhea, Rhea Roseblood" The fawn said with a smile before heading over to the area. As she walked on she seemed to nearly skip, her hair bouncing with each step almost. Frolicking one may say. "I love nature myself, though well I guess that's obvious since I am part deer." she laughed a bit. "I got a good head for plants and nature. And sewing... but well I'm kinda... what's the word my brother used" she paused putting a finger to her chin as if deep in thought. "I think Wern said 'A plate short of a feast?'" She snickered a bit. "But is from my younger brother he's always saying stuff like that. I know I'm good at some stuff, bad at others but like who isn't, know what i mean?" she asked as she continue making her way keeping an eye out for signs or tracks.
"Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses," Aeon said, listening in while trying to keep his surroundings known. "Are your siblings like you, fauns with bones popping out?" He asked, trying to learn more about her.
With how peaceful things were you would be forgiven to forget an ogre was roaming around.
Rhea paused for a moment starting to laugh. "Ha ha ha ha ha" she suddenly stopped looking rather deadpanned. "No. I'm the only faun. Papa was..." She paused as if trying to figure out how to best word it. "Papa was a very eccentric necromancer, and if there is one thing you can count on anyone with a lot of magic and free time... it is that being bored leads to odd things. Papa did a different method to make each of his eight kids. If my older brother Faust was here, or my younger one Yao for that matter, they could better explain it." As they walked on she looked around keeping an eye out but paused. "wait... do you smell that..." she took a small breath in. "it's almost.... smells like smoke. But kinda... metally? Irony? It's something with the smoke... it's a bit further south of here... I think we are on the right track... how fast can you run?" she asked in a slight daze tone as if trying to focus on locating the source of the scent and still keeping a polite conversation going
So necromancy was involved. That was never looked highly upon with society, yet it didn't seem like Rhea's family had any ill intent. Still, that kind of magic has negative repercussions.
Aeon paused and sniffed the air, getting the scent of smoke. "It could be a camp."
He looked to Rhea and grinned, giving a few hops on his feet. "I can run quick, but let's be careful. If they set up a camp they might have traps of their own."
He began to channel his aura, a small gust of wind circling around him as he increased his physical prowess.

The Wolf and the Fawn (Closed rp with @mysticjourneys)
The air was tranquil in the late summer afternoon. In the small forest outside of the local town traveled an rather unusal person who was merrily humming to herself in. Dressed in a simple leather cuirass with a gorget for protection was a dark skin woman with a long flowing mane of bright orange hair. Though what was more striking at a glance what seemed to be a pair of antlers poking out of her hair and the fact her legs ended in stag like hooves, coated by bright orange fur around her legs and arms.
She was out into the forest this day on a small quest to go slay the 'Hill Brute', an ogre that been causing issues for the town as of late. Attacking trade caravans and eating local livestock, the ogre was rumored to be living on the hill located somewhere in the forest. Though where the strange girl hadn't the foggiest idea. But hey, to her any chance to take a long stroll in the forest with the chance of bloodshed was a good day spent.
(for @mysticjourneys)
Aeon had gotten a request from the mayor to deal with an ogre, as the trade routes have been in jeopardy and they can't handle another lost. Aeon found this to be business as usual and accepted the task with fair payment.
He didn't need a mount as he used his aura abilities to increase his running speed, dashing along the path towards the forest. He vaulted over shrubbery and fallen trees, before grinding to a stop when he spotted a woman. No, not just a woman, a faun. He had read about them in books but he hadn't met one before.
"Hey, you there!" he called out, waving. "You wouldn't happen to have seen an ogre come by, would ya?"
The fawn paused perking up hearing someone called out to her. She looked around for a brief moment before her bright green eyes landed on a new face to her, a youth with blonde hair. She tilted her head before waving back. "Hello there! I'm Rhea!" she called out in a cheerfully jubilant tone, waving excitedly. "I haven't see an ogre, but I am looking for one. Are you looking for Mr. Brute as well?" She asked. "I'm on a job to gut him!" She paused before blinking. "I mean I am on a job to stop him from terrorizing the trade routes but they didn't say how I should stop him. So going with something a bit bloody this time, change it up. It's nice to meet you!" her tone was one of warmth and joviality, but the ease she speak of bloodshed of all made her stand out. Still she seemed unarmed at the moment, no weapons on her person one could clearly see, and the way she bounced on her hooves made her hair sway as well. A rather cheerful sort for being out on a monster hunting mission.
"Yelling like this is awkward! Hold on!" Aeon would then rush on over to the faun, catching his breath for a few seconds before saying, "I'm Aeon, by the way."
"So, you're after the ogre as well? Curious, but how were you going to fight something that big?" He asked, seeing how cheery and positive the woman was. He enjoyed a good fight as well, but he knew this wasn't a easy job.
When Aeon got closer he could see more detail of the women in front of him. Notably she had stitches around her mouth in a typical Glasgow Grin. More so that her arms had bright orange fur, but just near the base of the wrist and around the fur seemed to have flecks of dried blood matted into the fur. Perhaps most disturbingly the upper arm area on both of her arms had a series of stitches as if they were connecting the fur and arm together, sewn limbs and the like. And if one would glance down toward her shapely legs, much the same. As if she were more sewn together like a patchwork doll. Rhea however just smiled cheerfully. "With my amazing can-do spirit, powerful legs... oh and this." she held one of her arms up to the side away from Aeon. After a mili-second a 'swik' sound could be heard as sliding out of the fur was a blade made of bone, sharp spiked with smaller outstretch blades near the base like a crossguard. The bone was faintly died red of blood, but it was not dripping blood. It also had a spiraling pattern carve into it, almost like a corkscrew. Something like that would most likely hurt a great deal, seemingly unnaturally sharpen as it was.
Aeon eyed the faun curiously, noticing the stitching on her body that looked impossible for anyone to have survived. She wasn't an ordinary faun, and the nail on the head was her bone spike.
Aeon wasn't afraid, she hadn't done anything to be considered a threat... yet.
"That CAN do some damage," Aeon said with a few blinks. "You're no ordinary faun, are you? I would say you're using magic, but your stitches tell me otherwise."
"I'm a very special girl" Rhea admitted turning her arm over to examine her bone blade, as if checking to make sure it was to her sharpness. After a moment she slowly moved her arm towards Aeon holding it out.
