Good thing of the day: New pen! Opus 88 Koloro! This is the pen with Mushishi vibes that I've been wanting, and I got it for... free? Weird work bonus thing. It has a broad nib, which is bigger than what I usually buy, and I plan to get some supplies to tune it up an bit and write better. Or maybe clean it out and send it to someone to get a custom grind? or something, I am planning a big buy from galen leather for my birthday in a month+, so maybe grab an extra nib?
Anyway, I love him. His name is Ginko
Literally ran around my home gathering set decor for this little fountain pens and tea photo shoot. The dedication.

The other new addition from Taiwan, the Ty Lee Horns. Body and cap made from water buffalo horn. Sourced from Ty Lee Pens.
Difficult to find much definitive information on this. The seller is legitimate and respected, but the listing is totally bare.
My suspicion is that this is linked to the Taiwanese brand Tenny. They sell a remarkably similar product but presumably distributed for export. The Ty Lee site also lists both Ty Lee and Tenny under the same "Ty Lee" brand.
If that's all correct then I would call it like a house brand version if the Tenny. No maker's mark to be found. Also uses a Jowo #5 but sourced from Opus 88. Distinct clip style and some other finish details as well.
Feels great, the finish is quite smooth but has a sort of warmth to it. Nice consistent weight throughout, slightly balanced forward but not good for posting. The nib feel is hard to judge because I have the worst journal paper imaginable rn.
I was very nervous making a transaction in TWD on a translated site, but it went very smoothly. Showed up within a couple weeks, packaged extremely well.
A nearby store, just with a couple little changes. Mostly done with my Opus 88 and Diamond Golden Brown and water. Rambles under the cut
Such a beauty πππ
