in dream last night, tank broke and I had to scramble to get a new one. Somehow simultaneously stressful but exciting, I used it as an excuse to get a bigger tank, dreaming about something enough for rainbowfish. Problem was I was also being stalked, this lady kept arriving at my house and taking me to other places. So I was angry thinking about fish at a specialty instant ramen pop-up event with someone just trying to start some sort of conversation
Got ending B in Endocopia. I have thoughts. but I want to see the other endings first. Fantastic game, surreal and goofy and horrifying in equal parts. I am humbled by my complete inability to react to things in time, but I still managed to do it :D
on a random note, my sister going back to work means time is now moving at a crawl for me. It should be friday. it's tuesday. what is this
playing with boyfriend and being happy

Parents are having trouble with their honey gourami being aggressive, he's been well behaved but then built a bubble nest and is now fighting the other fish
he's been separated, told the parents to rescape and add more breaks in line of sight, I have a 10 gallon with only shrimp and snails if they need it. Mostly laughing a bit at them. This might lead them to getting a bigger tank to my dad's delight
instead of a computer chair, I need a computer bench, so me and Captain can chill at the computer
Like, the way I like to evaluate art is different from my family, especially "high" art or contemporary art, and I always worry that it annoys them but I won't stop.
I want to view the piece and try to understand it without any artist input first, maybe title and materials but thats it. And sometimes that means I find things that the artist may not like. Like one peice was clearly a vagina, and yeah I have the maturity of a fifteen year old and giggled and pointed that out. And my sister says well yeah it was intentional thats what the artist statement says. But like. knowing that takes away from the experience for me. I want an immature giggle before I go and find the deeper meaning in it.
Or it one set, I really enjoyed because it was layered paint and dirt and paper and gold foil and I really liked it. And I can imagine that it was something really fun to make. And the artist statement talked about how it was this sort of ritual for her. But it also talked about kabbalah and alchemy and re-imagining it with women in the fore-front and what not and I stopped because like. Isn't like, an important part of alchemy and maybe kabbalism the balancing of the masculine and feminine? And they follow a Goddess, Sara? at least in some forms of it? And I want more info on that and have that explained but it isn't there, just talking about this ritual, and I'm taken away from the art because I don't know if there is some weird misinterpretation here or not. And I'm stuck on this question and not enjoying it as much.
Or another piece, these really cool magnetic poles holding each other still with this eerie sound playing and I thought it was so cool until I learned that the sound was a recording of her brainwaves while contemplating forgiveness and. that's silly. That's really goofy. But I can't really say that because it did bring make my mom cry a little. And my mom and sister were talking about how personal that is and how on earth did she manage to get something like that in a gallery and. It's cause her mom. was the kabbalah lady with the dirt and paint. Like lowkey she is a nepo baby and they have an easier time getting away with weird art. Because there is this weird culture around gallery art like this that can have a high barrier of entry for average people.
They did have a section from what appeared to be more local artists that I liked more. This cool picture of two ladies getting ready for the day etched into two doors. A circle of calligraphy, messier on one side. Two large papers, one white and one black, embossed with this wave like pattern that you can't see from a distance. A shadow box with semi-transparent colors so it changed when you moved. This section was just a lot smaller than I would prefer.
Also, my mom mentioned off hand that kabbalah ladymay have been a spy during ww2, need to look more i to that
