âIf youâre not opposed to it, can I stay here again?â Sirius asked, yawning after the final episode of Frost had finished. Remus couldnât believe theyâd got through every episode already.Â
âOh, youâre asking now?â Remus said, raising an eyebrow and failing to keep the smile off his face. Sirius shrugged.Â
âI donât want James to think Iâm taking advantage of you,â Sirius mumbled, making Remus chuckle.Â
âSirius, you haven't even met him in person yet. That and you seriously arenât taking advantage of me; I honestly canât figure out why you want to hang out in my crappy flat when you can afford to stay anywhere,â He watched Sirius wince and knew heâd struck a nerve. âSorry, I didnât mean to upset you,â He said, watching Sirius carefully. Sirius shook his head.Â
âNo, youâre right. I can afford to stay wherever I want. I mean I do have a flat of my own I could stay at, but, Remus, it doesnât matter where I sleep, I just like being with you.â He looked up at Remus from under his eyelashes, completely open and vulnerable. Remus felt a sudden need to protect Sirius and pulled him in close.Â
âYou can stay here whenever you like,â He murmured into Siriusâs hair as he hugged him tight. Sirius wiggled closer, his body pressed as closely to Remusâs as he could get. âI really like spending time with you as well,â Remus told him. And he really did.Â
They picked through Remusâs selection of DVDs and put on a film as it was still early, and neither was ready for bed. Sirius was basically in Remusâs lap and kept nuzzling his nose into Remusâs neck, and Remus couldnât think of anywhere heâd rather be. Â
