Aircraft: Luftwaffe Eurofighter EF-2000 31+06 from Taktisches Luftwaffengeschwader 74, wearing special Bavarian Tiger markings. Location: RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire.

65 years ago… Bill Pogue & USAF Thunderbirds Created in 1953, by 1956 the North American F-100C Super Sabre swept-wing jet made the Thunderbirds the world’s first supersonic demo team. By that time, the USAF provided the Thunderbirds pilots with a stainless steel & white Gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust with turnable bezel. The 1956-57 Thunderbirds team might have been the first pilots septet each wearing a Rolex; Capt Bob McIntosh, 1Lt Bill Pogue, Capt Doug Brenner, Maj Robby Robinson, Capt John Bartley, Capt Sam Johnson & Capt Bill Scott.
