Officials warn to stay away from all beaches. Cthulhu nesting season is here.
- Vox of The Red Revived! -
I've been experimenting lately with a very old friend. Simply known as [Vox of The Red] and this was the result. If you are new. Vox is a long time being that I occasionally show within this ridiculous process of making my series.
If you wish to find out more about the past versions of VOTR, please refer to the two links; [Vorvadoss 3.0 (VOR-VA-DOSS) or just VoX] and [Vox and Yaz]
Originally intended to be an OC modeled after the critically acclaimed indie video game < Hollow Knight > Vox has now been reduced to this tiny being that is a mix of between an Octopus and Cat with the eye of a Cyclops (or the Instagram logo if you remove the features and just leave the head)
Why is Vox back? That is still unclear but I’ve been posting it up elsewhere and people loved it so...I’ve decided to make it semi-official. VOTR is BACK with a new body! As for the origin of what Vox is, I can only share so little.
Vox is now a Cycatopus (Cy-cat-o-pus) I know, not really the most creative of names but it is what it is now. A sort of critter like being whose story is yet to take shape and will be soon as soon as the first phase is complete.
Following Vox, this may be a good time to inform you that the [Official Roster of The Hoodlites] might have some one eyed beings taking over a little. All will be revealed in due time but for now. That is all to explain my absence.
Thanks for Reading

This is a great little book and deserves some recognition! It was published by amazon and written by Robert J. Horne. It’s really a book on traditional witchcraft, however Horne uses the term folk witchcraft. I see them as one and the same, however folk witchcraft as Horne presents it isn’t really tied to any one figure or geographic area. He draws on the techniques of Austin Osman Spare and Andrew Chumbley, which I really love! One of my favorite parts of the book is the beginning where the author gives explanations and suggestions for recommended reading; many of the formative texts of modern traditional witchcraft. The book is an enjoyable read, and presents the information succinctly. Many writings on traditional witchcraft are known for their often overly fancy language. This work is a great introduction to the foundations of a folkloric practice. #folkwitchcraft #traditionalwitchcraft #solitarypractice #oldones #hornedgod #naturespirits #landspoirits #ancestorwork #folklore #folkpractice https://www.instagram.com/p/CK9Uis3H28M/?igshid=pyiwtj287hap
Excerpt from "Chapter 33: Kenneth Grant and the Typhonian Tradition" by Henrik Bogdan, found in _The Occult World_, edited by Christopher Partridge --- "The Mauve Zone, a key-concept in Grant's system...is related to a practical formula of dream control evolved by Grant during the years 1955-62.... In his writings, Grant repeatedly stresses the importance of establishing contact with higher beings for the spiritual evolution of the practitioner, but also for the future of mankind." [Grant draws on traditional esoteric concepts, UFO-related materials, and the Old Ones of Lovecraftian lore to help explain what these entities are.] "Whereas [Aleister] Crowley adopted an agnostic approach to the nature of the entities...Grant argues theat they are actual entities existing outside of man's consciousness although they are to be accssed through a mental state which Grant calls the Mauve Zone." [Note: the image above is of Grant's own writings about the Mauve Zone, not _The Occult World_, quoted above. Plus, Crowley adjusted his own beliefs later in his life to accept the ‘realness’ of these entities. *Thanks to Marco Visconti for clarifying that last point!*]
