(Memo to the Clue Club: "Blind pig," in this sense, was the kind of place where liquor was sold illegally, sometimes under the premise of an ur-roadside attraction offering "freaks and curiosities of Nature" to give the whole an aura of credibility. As for the liquor sold, such could too often be watered down or otherwise of suspicious quality, poisoned even--not to mention being situated in such areas where Prohibition was the law and rule, thus requiring the further ruse of supposedly selling soft drinks to avoid further suspicions. Some such reputedly offered back-room gambling and/or prostitution, as if selling bad liquor wasn't worthy enough a proposition.)

Until someone points out some particular Hanna-Barbera characters out in the crowd of some tourist-trap Main Street. Especially so the likes of The Banana Splits, the Cattanooga Cats or the Hair Bear Bunch.

A real amiable sort of freak is precisely what I strive to be.
