woodman is not having a good time with being defanged and declawed both physically and in how he is forced to act. this happens to all the 2nds but woodman has the special problem shared with bubbleman of being infantilised for being physically unthreatening and interested in stuff like nature. but also whenever he does try to stand up for himself or express negative emotion or even just express emotion in a way thats a little too nonhuman he is seen as dangerous and scary and a problem so the only thing he can really do to avoid much larger issues is hide major parts of himself and his feelings away
woodman implodes due to what has happened to monsteropolis' nature and wildlife. and everyone tells him to stop being negative about it and shut up and enjoy it like nobody actually understands what has happened to what used to be there or even glorifies its destruction and it makes him want to start killing
seeing an insect that was commonplace 40 years ago for the first time. websites recommending growing plants that are highly invasive. waterways being so polluted they cant even support fish. it is all incredibly bad for him but he has no choice but to just sit and smile about it and act like theres nothing wrong when nothing could be further from the truth
something he was desperate to see and experience and escape to for the entire first part of his life only to get there and see its all been killed for the sake of human profit.
