"Humans never stay sober."

Misconception

At the beginning of Prohibition in the United States, drinking alcohol was never illegalized. It was the manufacturing, selling, and transportation of it. Yet, consumption of it was still so popular, that you could ask your doctor for a prescription for it. However, the results of that era speaks for itself. There was a complete decline in alcohol-related deaths, and...well that's about it. Organized crime became a huge risk, homemade alcohol caused many to catch terrible illnesses, and many turned to harder drugs. The lesson is: Never take alcohol from the North American people.

I Don't See Anything Of Those County Option Teeth!

July 28, 1910

The Minneapolis Tribune reported on July 26 that Lind was the leading choice for the Democratic Party for the nomination for governor of Minnesota, but Lind had not attended the convention or accepted the nomination; while the Party was split on the question of allowing county option to regulate the sale of liquor.

A woman selling "wine bricks" (compressed grape juice), August 3, 1931. The packages were supposed to be dissolved into grape juice, but included the warning, “Do not dissolve the concentrate in a gallon of water, add yeast, and let it sit in a dark place for 21 days, or else it will ferment into wine.”
