at the top is Midnight Melody with her teacher, Luna! I don't think ive talked much about her backstory... She was in CSGU, a couple years behind Twilight. She was somewhat bullied for various reasons, and near the time she was finishing school, Luna returned. There are rumors her family tree can be traced back to luna many thousands of years ago, but they aren't telling...
and below that is Vastra! Being from a much smaller house of Canterlot nobility than Melody, she was never as pressured, although she DID get into CSGU in the same grade as Melody. They became fast friends, as Vastra was also picked on (she's short af and mottled coats are NOT in fashion in Canterlot). She's sort of like a more mean-spirited pinkie pie. like she isn't mean or evil or anything, but her pranks are a bit more malicious and she's kind of devious. But she comes from a much more affectionate and warm home environment than Melody, and they usually hang out at her house. She's deeply affectionate with those she's close to.
