How to have an OBE tonight and shift from it
(inspired by Michael Raduga’s “The Phase” method)
I’m sharing a method that blends OBE (out-of-body experience) techniques from The Phase by Michael Raduga with reality shifting, so you can actually exit your body consciously and then shift directly from there.
Yeah, I know I keep talking about Raduga’s method, but trust me, it’s practical, clear, and it actually works. I've already talked about it in this post but today's I'll go more in depth about shifting specifically.
Step 1 : read “The Phase” (or at least the core parts)
First, take a bit of time to read or watch Raduga’s seminars.
You don’t have to read the entire book, but at least go through the section about indirect techniques and, if you want, the part on direct techniques too.
That’s honestly the foundation, the guy breaks it down super simply and based on real experiments.
And here are the three seminars for those who prefer to watch it
Step 2: If you don’t want to rely only on indirect methods (micro-awakenings)
Here’s a little trick to induce sleep paralysis or Hypnagogia awareness naturally, something that works wonders for entering the Phase that I use I've been training with it before.
Watch a Rosalie Yoga video (I love her Yoga Nidra stuff and ofc you can try something else but it happen to be my favorite).
Now, do this when you’re tired, but not totally exhausted.
Lie down, raise your arm slightly (like people who nap consciously do).
As you start drifting off, your arm will slowly fall, this drop gives you a small jolt of alertness, keeping you right on the edge.
You might feel an adrenaline flash or two that wakes you up a bit. That’s fine and even normal, just keep repeating the process until you find that perfect balance between relaxation and awareness.
That’s your golden entry point, sleep paralysis, hypnagogic state... whatever happens first, it’s all good.
Keep listening to your audio or
Try an OBE separation technique right away (like rolling out, floating up, or the head-lift).
Step 3: The idirect techniques (The Phase Core)
Once you’re familiar with the basics, start training the indirect methods as Raduga suggests. This is a shorter protocol that what he advice but I know it's really time consuming so you can try this instead. If this really doesn't work don't hesitate to do the whole training.
So if you’re lazy (I get it), at least do 15 minutes of training:
5–7 minutes practicing each separation technique individually (like floating, spinning, or rolling out, you should choose two or three).
Then 15 minutes where you chain them, one after another, just like in the book.
You can even use an app that rings every few seconds to help you stay on timing while cycling.
That’s how you teach your subconscious to do the work for you at night.
Trust me, this kind of training makes your body remember the process automatically during your micro-awakenings.
Step 4 : The Wake-Back-to-Bed setup (the “deferred dethod”)
You already have micro-awakenings before, but you will have even more after the wbtb and your sleep will also be lighter and more conscious.
This is the magic combo of neuroscience + Raduga.
Set your alarm about 2 hours before your normal wake time.
Before sleeping, remind yourself of the techniques, but don’t “close” that mental loop.
It’s called the Zeigarnik effect (our brains retain unfinished tasks better).
Because of that, when you wake up later in the night, your mind will naturally jump back into those OBE actions more easily.
When your micro-awakening happens:
1. Try separation first! Immediately after the mirror . Within the first 5–10 seconds.
2. If you can’t separate, start cycling techniques, visual, tactile, movement, etc., until you feel vibrations, floating, or any separation symptom.
All this is pure Raduga, and it works because you’re catching your brain during a REM rebound, when dreams and body disconnection are already happening.
As soon as you're out of your body the first things you should do is look into the mirror.
Step 5, From OBE to Shifting
Once you’re out, here’s the fun part.
2. Look at your reflection and imagine yourself inside your desired reality .
3. Gradually add the senses:
Hear the sounds of your DR.
Feel the air or temperature.
See the light, the colors.
Smell something specific from that place.
Feel the emotion of being there.
Keep layering those sensations, sense by sense.
At some point, the environment will shift completely, and you’ll click into your DR.
It’s smoother than forcing a teleport, think of it like melting into the new frequency. It's a technique that someone who shifted and astral projected on command told me and used regularly.
Step 6: Neurocognitive boosts.
Let’s quickly break down why this combo works so well:
REM Rebound → When you wake up after 4–6 hours of sleep, your brain is deep in REM potential. Perfect for separation.
Zeigarnik Effect → Leaving the task “open” primes your subconscious to finish it during the night.
State-Dependent Memory → Training the techniques before bed means your brain will recall them more easily when in the same half-sleep state.
Emotional Anchoring → Adding sensory and emotional details helps your brain lock onto the DR.
It’s not just “wishful thinking”, it’s how memory, attention, and dream regulation actually work.
Step 7: Keep it real and practice
You might not get it on the first try, and that’s fine.
Every "failed" attempt still trains your mind to catch the Phase faster next time.
The key is consistency, once your brain understands the pattern, it becomes automatic.
And honestly, combining OBE practice with shifting gives you way more control and clarity than any visualization-only approach.
So yeah, that’s the method.
Train the indirect techniques.
Set up your wake-back-to-bed.
Catch your micro-awakening.
Separate first, then shift through the mirror.
Do it with curiosity, not pressure. I know it's easy to say that but treat it as a fun exploration or experience
And seriously, read that PDF, it’ll change how you see all of this. And it will motivate you to see you have a High chance of succeeding easily.
